This is an non-exempt hourly position between $22.00 - $25.00. We determine starting pay based on a thorough evaluation of job-related factors, including geographic location, market conditions, relevant experience, training, and education. - As part of our marketing and publicity department, you’ll help get our dynamic list of books into the hands of the editors, influencers, and readers who will love them.
- Manage and facilitate ARC and finished copy mailings, including media and influencer mailings, Goodreads giveaways, and more.
- Support consumer marketing efforts by assisting with social media management and asset creation.
- Coordinate author travel, maintain detailed itineraries, and support event logistics for author tours, conferences, and book festivals.
- Maintain marketing materials, campaign assets, inventory, and shared files to ensure efficient team operations.
- Provide day-to-day administrative and project support for publicity and marketing campaigns, helping keep projects on schedule and materials organized.
- Assist with media outreach by coordinating trade review submissions, maintaining media lists, and coordinating seasonal catalog pitches.
- 1–2 years of publishing experience preferred; internships, freelance work, bookstore experience, library experience, and on-campus literary magazines or newspapers count .
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Enthusiasm for commercial fiction, publishing, and book publicity and marketing.
- Interest in social media, influencer marketing, and consumer engagement
- Comfort working collaboratively across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or social media management tools is a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for author events, conferences, and book festivals.
