The Role

LabX Media Group is currently seeking a Marketing Operations Specialist - Email Marketing with a strong and sustained focus on email marketing to take the lead in evolving our email marketing programs across multiple brands. This role will start with a comprehensive audit of our email marketing strategy to identify gaps and opportunities, then establish a solid, scalable foundation to support long-term growth.

Beyond the initial audit, the role will involve continuously identifying and implementing email marketing best practices to optimize performance. The successful candidate will also be expected to track and analyze campaign data to clearly demonstrate the impact of ongoing improvements and initiatives.

In addition to email marketing ownership, you’ll support broader marketing operations through regular HubSpot maintenance and general assistance with cross-functional marketing projects. A strong willingness to learn our tools and systems will be essential for success in this multifaceted role.

Key Responsibilities:

Main Focus: Email Optimization

  • Lead a thorough audit of our email marketing strategies, workflows, and performance metrics to uncover opportunities for greater standardization, operational efficiency, and overall effectiveness.
  • Work closely with operations teams to implement email strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Generate insight-driven reports to evaluate performance and support ongoing improvement.
  • Evaluate and implement AI-driven tools (e.g., subject line optimization, workflow automations) to drive efficiency and performance across email marketing and broader marketing operations. 
  • Leverage HubSpot’s full suite of tools to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of email marketing efforts.

Ongoing Responsibilities in Marketing Operations

  • Perform routine maintenance on our Hubspot portal (e.g., data hygiene, auditing, list management).
  • Support additional marketing projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in a digital marketing or marketing operations role, with hands-on experience in email marketing.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills with a keen eye for performance metrics and optimization opportunities.
  • Proficiency with Hubspot, email automation, HTML, and audience segmentation.
  • Experience implementing AI-driven tools and workflows to enhance email marketing performance,
  • Familiarity with tools such as Looker, SurveyMonkey, Zapier, and project/task management platforms (e.g., JIRA, Asana, Trello).
  • Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to understand complex systems and identify areas for process improvement.
