The Opportunity
This position works out of our Austin, TX, site in our Heart Failure division. As the Marketing Operations Specialist, you will be a high-impact, agile specialist skilled in operating smarter, faster, and stronger. Reporting to the Marketing Operations Manager, you will optimize and manage marketing processes and platforms, uncover business inefficiencies, and develop optimal processes to drive value through collaboration, compliance management, and strategic improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct project execution by assigning tasks, tracking project schedules, identifying risks, and developing and executing contingency plans.
- Communicate project status and process efficiencies through standard reports, presentations, and storytelling, participating in update meetings to inform leadership with data-driven insights on marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify gaps in platforms and processes and develop and implement solutions with stakeholders.
- Act as the liaison between Global Marketing and Abbott Procurement teams to drive efficiency in purchasing and vendor selection and management processes.
- Provide training and support to marketing team members on new processes and tools.
- Make informed decisions autonomously, solving complex marketing challenges and adapting to changing priorities with minimal supervision.
- Manage the ad and promo review process and platforms to ensure compliance and increase process efficiency, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure all materials are completed on time, meet established standards, and adhere to Abbott’s audit processes.
- Own platform maintenance, optimization, and process improvements on critical Global Marketing platforms such as Monday.com, Veeva, Loop, and others as identified.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in marketing operations or a similar role.
- Proficiency in marketing automation platforms and CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proven experience working in a Marketing or Commercial organization focusing on process improvement.
- Domestic travel up to 20%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the medical device industry and familiarity with the product launch process.
- Extensive experience with Monday.com.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Products and Veeva.
- Ability to provide clear, written instructions for domestic and global teams.
The base pay for this position is
$57,300.00 – $114,700.00
In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
