Job Description:
As our Marketing Operations Project Manager, you’ll be tasked with organizing, coordinating, and driving the execution of marketing projects to successful completion—on time and aligned with quality standards. This role collaborates closely with our Marketing department stakeholders, internal creative team, and other applicable areas of the organization to deliver multichannel marketing campaigns, encompassing print, digital, and video assets. Supporting all business units within WorldStrides, this position reports directly to the Sr. Director of Marketing Operations.
Responsibilities:
The daily responsibilities of the Marketing Operations Project Manager include overseeing all aspects of marketing project scopes, such as:
- Managing project workflows, timelines, and deliverables for the internal creative team and stakeholders throughout all project phases from brief submission to project completion
- Leading the intake, kickoff, and management of creative projects, including developing project plans, defining objectives, and organizing resources to meet key milestones
- Partnering with Marketing, Operations, and Creative leadership to allocate resources, plan projects, and mitigate risks
- Serving as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications, ensuring team and stakeholder alignment while addressing stakeholder requirements
- Monitoring the quality and timeliness of project deliverables, ensuring adherence to established standards and SLAs
- Coordinating with production and fulfillment teams to uphold print and promotional schedules, providing support for production-related tasks as needed
- Making informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle by evaluating options, assessing risks and benefits, and incorporating input from team members and stakeholders
- Testing and proposing new reporting dashboards, metrics and methodologies
- Owning, tracking and reporting on project performance against established metrics, taking proactive measures to address issues, and ensuring accurate and meticulous project documentation
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in a related field such as project management, business administration, or marketing is preferred, though equivalent work experience and qualifications will be considered.
- A minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably within a marketing-focused environment
- Additional certifications like Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) are a plus.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, software, and tools—experience with Adobe Workfront is preferred.
- Familiarity with risk management strategies and techniques to address project changes and ensure smooth transitions.
- Experience with budgeting, cost estimation, financial management, and financial reporting is highly valued.
- Demonstrated ability to present results and effectively collaborate with senior management and leadership teams.
