About the role
The Marketing Operations Manager leads a team of Marketing Implementation Consultants within Kicksaw’s MOPs organization, reporting to the VP of Delivery. You’ll oversee delivery quality across marketing automation and Salesforce-integrated projects, ensuring clients receive strategic, scalable solutions while driving pod efficiency, profitability, and consultant growth.
As the senior escalation point for marketing clients, you’ll guide teams through complex solutioning, maintain delivery consistency across platforms, and partner closely with Sales, Delivery leadership, and technical teams. This role blends people leadership, marketing operations expertise, and operational excellence to foster a high-performing, collaborative environment and advance Kicksaw’s MOPs delivery frameworks.
This is a fully remote, full-time role for candidates based in U.S. and Canada.

Key Responsibilities
People Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor a pod of Marketing Implementation Consultants, providing coaching, performance feedback, and career development guidance.
- Develop consultants in marketing automation best practices, client management, and solution design.
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative pod environment that encourages learning, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with People Ops on hiring, onboarding, and retention of high-performing MOPs talent.
Client Engagement & Delivery Oversight
- Serve as the primary escalation point for marketing-related client concerns across your pod.
- Ensure client satisfaction, adoption, and retention across all MOPs engagements.
- Support Sales during pre-sales via scoping, solution validation, and client alignment for marketing automation projects.
- Guide the client journey with a strong understanding of marketing KPIs, campaign strategy, and business value.
Marketing Operations & Technical Oversight
- Oversee delivery of marketing automation implementations and optimizations across platforms such as HubSpot, Pardot, and Marketing Cloud.
- Ensure consultants deliver high-quality assets—email templates, landing pages, forms, nurturing workflows, scoring models, and campaign attribution frameworks.
- Maintain delivery consistency across marketing automation projects, ensuring compliance with platform best practices and Kicksaw standards.
- Support complex technical escalations related to lead routing, campaign influence, SFDC integration, segmentation, and automation logic.
Operational Management
- Manage pod-level profitability, utilization, and capacity planning.
- Monitor the quality and quantity of work delivered across all assigned clients.
- Lead process improvements within the MOPs team, including templates, delivery frameworks, automation, and documentation.
- Apply Agile methodologies to plan work, track progress, and optimize delivery effectiveness.
- Leverage AI to streamline processes, enhance solutioning, and contribute to organizational learning around emerging technologies.
Leadership Contribution
- Represent MOPs consultants in Delivery leadership forums and advocate for client and pod needs.
- Partner cross-functionally to evolve Kicksaw’s marketing delivery practices, tools, and offerings.
- Uphold Kicksaw’s brand and values in all internal and external interactions.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 6–8 years in Marketing Operations, Salesforce, or SaaS consulting, with demonstrated delivery leadership.
- 3–5 years of experience managing or mentoring technical marketing operations or marketing automation teams.
- Proven success managing project profitability, client outcomes, and consultant workload.
- Experience partnering with executive-level marketing and revenue leaders.
- Deep understanding of marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Pardot, SFMC, Marketo, or similar) and Salesforce marketing functionality.
- Strong ability to navigate marketing strategy discussions—lead lifecycle, attribution, segmentation, scoring, and nurture strategy.
- Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and project management best practices.
- Excellent escalation management, communication, and stakeholder-alignment skills.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and grow consultants.
