The Role

SailPoint is seeking an experienced and highly proactive Marketing Operations Manager to own our Marketing tech stack to drive a seamless digital customer user journey across our marketing tech stack while also ensuring data integrity across the holistic ecosystem of technology. This role will be instrumental in advancing marketing strategy and driving operational excellence by curating a best-in-class process and data flow within our technology and automation ecosystem.
Specifically, this role's main priorities will be managing and monitoring the day-to-day of our MarTech stack, our renewals/contracting processes, budget management, and evaluating new tech or optimization opportunities as the market evolves.
This role will partner closely with various marketing functional leaders to align programmatic strategy with process and system execution within our marketing tech stack. Additionally, this role will serve as the Marketing liaison to other operational teams (RevOps tech, Procurement, Finance, etc.) to align the goals and data flows of the marketing tech stack to the broader company technology and data ecosystem. The ideal candidate is energized by managing the tools on a day-to-day basis but is equally capable and driven to maximize the return on investment and optimization of our platforms holistically across SailPoint.
Responsibilities Include:

  • In conjunction with the leader of Marketing Operations and other functional Marketing leaders, ownership of the short-term and long-term roadmap of the marketing technology stack and how that best aligns to executional strategy and goals.
  • Ownership of overall system governance, including data structure, day-to-day activities, the process for change requests, etc. - the resident tech admin and expert for each component of our marketing tech stack.
  • Partnership with procurement and project management teams as marketing liaison for technology renewals process.
  • Project management of new technology approval, contracting, and implementation process.
  • Primary owner and liaison with account and finance to manage the MarTech annual budget.
  • Management of annual technology reviews including: IT security reviews, tool consolidations/expansions and technology gap assessments.
  • Oversight of data orchestration strategy and compliance between systems/tools.
  • Proactively review, identify and recommend areas to increase efficiencies, optimization, consolidation or decrease gaps within our tech stack.
  • Creation and maintenance of platform specific reporting as it relates to overall Marketing KPIs and/or to drive meaningful insights regarding usage or optimization of our platforms.
  • Develop and maintain thorough documentation for marketing technology processes, data flow and system integrations.
  • Train internal teams on efficient technology usage, change management and evangelize best practices.
  • Serve as a primary point person for the marketing and sales teams for troubleshooting issues and developing solutions for mar-tech systems. Ensure team is kept apprised of updates, new developments and enhanced functionality of existing tools.


Requirements:

  • 3+ years of working in a Marketing Operations role, specifically with experience owning and managing components of the marketing technology stack, data management, automation strategy and/or equivalent agency/consultant experience.
  • Knowledge and interest in the AI market as it pertains to marketing tools and their capabilities
  • Experience with 6sense and web architecture, hosting/analytic tools. General knowledge of marketing automation platforms and SalesForce (SFDC) preferred.
  • Practical understanding of Marketing GTM functions (digital marketing, SEO, paid search, lead generation, email marketing, website optimization and reporting) and how technology helps automate these efforts.
  • Proven experience in capitalizing on data and technology to fulfill marketing organizational goals in addition to gathering business requirements to justify or evaluate ROI from marketing software.
  • Strong communication skills that include ability to listen intently, communicate with clarity, speak up when necessary and manage multiple viewpoints.
  • Ability to translate Marketing and Ops strategy and process into technical solutions that bring strategy to life.
  • Strong critical and systems thinker. Ability to understand 'the problem behind the problem' and map across every step of a business or technical process.


Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint's differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):
$98,420 - $140,600 - $182,780
Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee's home location.
