About the role
We are a 65-person marketing function spanning Brand & Content, Performance Marketing, Website & CRO, CRM, Product Marketing, and Financial Promotions Compliance.We are seeking a Marketing ops consultant to redesign and embed a structured, scalable Marketing planning framework to:
- Enable seamless delivery of all Marketing activity across all channels, on time and to exceptionally high creative standards
- Capture all KPIs associated with Marketing activity, ensuring they are logged and measured against with rigour
- Identify key roles, responsibilities and standardised communication / collaboration tools required for an effective operating model
- Implement a detailed and robust marketing briefing and planning process to deliver campaigns and assets against fixed go-live dates and to exceptionally high standards
- Implement and support the configuration of new workflow management tool e.g. Monday / Asana
- Implement clear SLAs across all teams, that allow sufficient space for collaboration, feedback, edits and approvals
- Define and implement key decision points, RACIs, milestones and approval levels
- Develop early and structured, but balanced compliance integration, which ensures campaign content does not lose its fundamental objectives and impact potential
- Develop visible critical path management process
- Implement formal risk escalation and remediation process
- Develop standardised reporting frameworks on output, capacity and campaign performance
Scope of Engagement
The consultant will:
- Diagnose current campaign lifecycle and root causes of delay
- Identify key roles required across marketing teams, to ensure collaborative and integrated planning, approvals and escalation processes that ensure timely delivery and exceptional campaign content quality
- Design a clear end-to-end campaign operating model
- Implement SLAs and stage-gated delivery
- Define RACI and decision governance
- Support the implementation of a new workflow management tool and DAM (Monday / Orangelogic)
- Introduce structured escalation protocols
- Establish a single campaign tracking framework
- Embed the model through live campaign pilots
The engagement must go beyond design and ensure practical adoption.
Profile Required
We require a consultant with:
- Proven experience transforming Marketing Operations in 50+ person teams
- Strong governance and portfolio management expertise
- Experience in regulated environments (financial services preferred)
- Ability to operate at SLT level and challenge constructively
- Demonstrated track record improving delivery predictability
- This role requires operational rigour and implementation capability — not advisory facilitation alone.
