We are seeking a talented individual to join our Marketing and Communications team at Marsh. This role will be based in the Sydney office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The Marketing Operations and Governance Coordinator supports the smooth delivery of marketing activities and governance across the Pacific region. This entry-level role provides exposure to all parts of the marketing and communications team, helping coordinate operational processes, governance initiatives, planning cycles, reporting, and team support activity. Working closely with all marketing teams, the role acts as a central point for coordinating initiatives, ensuring they are delivered consistently, efficiently, and in line with agreed governance standards and operating frameworks.

This is a role of a high impact individual, who will take initiative and is looking to make a difference. In return you will learn from a strong team and be part of a business where marketing and comms is central to the delivery of the strategy. 

We will count on you to:

  • Support marketing governance processes and ensure standards are followed across the region, including maintaining governance trackers, reporting, and process documentation.

  • Assist in automating approval workflows and processes, managing marketing templates, frameworks, and governance resources.

  • Help coordinate planning activities, team meetings, and maintain marketing calendars and project timelines for strategic initiatives.

  • Assist with financial governance tasks such as processing invoices, purchase orders, maintaining budget trackers, and coordinating vendor documentation.

  • Support team engagement, onboarding, learning initiatives, and AI adoption and capability building.

  • Contribute to process improvement projects and help document and embed best practices.

What you need to have:

  • 1–2 years marketing, operations, or coordinator experience in a corporate or agency environment.

  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work well with others, manage multiple stakeholders, and handle competing priorities.

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint), SharePoint, and project management tools; eager to learn new platforms.

  • Interest in AI, automation, and process improvement.

  • Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, business, or a related discipline is desirable (or equivalent practical experience).
