Marketing Officer - Content & Community Engagement

Job Summary
The Marketing Officer develops and distributes content that strengthens ACNB's brand, supports business objectives, and enhances engagement across digital and traditional marketing channels.
This hands-on role focuses on end-to-end in-house content creation, storytelling, social media, and community engagement. The ideal candidate is a creative communicator who enjoys building relationships, uncovering stories, and creating content that highlights ACNB's products, people, customers, and community impact. They are self-motivated, collaborative, and excited to serve as an ambassador for the ACNB brand throughout the communities we serve. This position will also support broader marketing initiatives, including website, email, and campaign activities.
As a representative of ACNB throughout Pennsylvania and Maryland, this individual will collaborate with customers, team members, community organizations, business leaders, and Corporate Relations to create content that aligns with ACNB's brand, strategic messaging, and growth objectives.
Required Distinguishing Qualifications
Education/Training: An A.A., B.S. or B.A. degree in communication design, marketing or a related discipline preferred; specialized bank marketing education and training.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years' experience in marketing, communications, content creation, or a related role.
Skill(s):
- Strong writing, communication, and storytelling skills.
- Strong experience creating professional-level photography, video, graphic, and digital content.
- Experience managing content across websites, social media, and digital platforms.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, web content management software, and similar design and editing tools.
- Strong relationship-building, interviewing, organizational, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects from concept to completion.
- Experience measuring content effectiveness through analytics and reporting.
- Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing strategies, production procedures, prepress, printing, sustainability practices, and applicable banking regulations affecting marketing activities.
- Valid driver's license required. Regular travel throughout ACNB's market areas in Adams, Franklin, York, and Lancaster counties in Pennsylvania and Carroll and Frederick counties in Maryland is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with email marketing and CMS platforms.
- Public or media relations experience.
- Knowledge of SEO and digital content best practices.
- Experience in financial services or other relationship-based industries.
Essential Duties/Key Responsibilities
1. Content Creation & Storytelling
- Develop and distribute content supporting ACNB's marketing, reputation, and business goals.
- Create written, visual, video, and multimedia content across multiple channels.
- Translate financial products and services into engaging, customer-focused communications.
- Manage and create content projects from concept through publication.
- Identify and capture stories that showcase ACNB's expertise, customers, employees, and community involvement.
2. Social Media & Digital Content
- Manage and grow ACNB's social media presence.
- Create and distribute content across social media, website, email, and other marketing channels.
- Monitor engagement and performance metrics to inform future content strategies.
- Assist with website updates and digital marketing initiatives.
3. Community Engagement & Brand Representation
- Represent ACNB at community events, volunteer activities, and business functions.
- Build relationships with customers, community partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Partner with business lines and Corporate Relations to promote ACNB's community impact and customer success stories.
- Ensure content aligns with ACNB's brand standards and marketing objectives.
- Assists with the implementation of strategies to support the Bank’s business objectives; as well as adheres to budget parameters.
4. Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
5. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements, such as the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Equal Credit Opportunity Act.
6. Communicates with the Marketing Manager, other department managers, staff members and vendors in order to integrate goals and activities.
7. Actively participates in the community in a manner that reflects favorably on the Bank.
