Our new Marketing Manager is responsible for carrying out marketing plans and playing a leading role in the development and execution of market trends and data insights for the European Food Colors business unit. For this, you are fulltime on-site in our location in Geesthacht (near Hamburg), and will drive outstanding performance and results, which also requires a high degree of collaboration with other functional areas. In addition to creating dynamic presentations and presenting with sales to key accounts, you possess the analytical skills to generate insights to contribute to the demand creation for Sensient Food Colors Europe.
What you’ll do:
- You are a leader and expert in identifying and translating trends and insights (market, consumer and customer) into trend presentations and product ideation to support new product innovation and business ideas for our customers
- By using syndicated data sources and custom research, you gain a deep understanding of the packaged food industry with the aim to:
- develop vision and key trend framework that technical and marketing teams can deploy
- inform leadership team about key changes in consumer behaviour and assist in the formulation and presentation of market analysis to be able to adjust planning and strategy as needed
- provide food colour-related insights and recommendations to clients - Proactively assist with the development and delivery of key customer presentations, highlighting Sensient's strengths, resources, technologies and category knowledge and our ability to assist the customer by providing solutions for their unique business needs
- Lead customer and market research initiatives that help the business understand what attributes are most valued in a supplier and identify opportunities for improvement to gather meaningful insights. You support leadership in developing winning value proposition based on this customer feedback
- Travel to customer locations across Europe frequently, est. 30-40% of the time
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree is required in either Communications, Marketing or a related field, MBA is a plus
- You have 5-8 years of work experience in the food or beverage market and/or consumer packaged goods
- Business fluency in English, additional language skills are a plus
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal savvy to build constructive relationships with customers and across the organization
- Strong analytical skills and expertise in creating insight-driven marketing and data-driven business strategies
- Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel etc.), Adobe Creative Suite and other software used for creating presentations
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and support the sales, R&D and Product Management with market needs assessment and innovation project prioritization
- Independent and systematic organization of workplace tasks and handling of multiple projects
