Job Summary & Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Vallen’s Marketing Manager can be either an individual contributor responsible for planning, developing, and implementing marketing strategies and sales enablement initiatives or a team leader with oversight of associates performing similar duties.  They provide marketing support to sales, operations, and product teams to achieve Vallen’s strategic marketing and sales objectives.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives; may provide direction to and have oversight of related staff, contractors, and engaged agencies.
  • Provides sales support through various sales enablement activities; fulfills field sales marketing material requests.
  • Assist in managing CRM data and integrations with other inter-company platforms, including setting up automation, reporting dashboards, APIs, as needed for marketing campaigns and sales enablement.
  • Ensures that the brand and identity are adhered to in all campaigns and marketing materials.
  • Oversees the Vallen website; maintains the look and feel of the website, updates content, web functions, and customer self-service portal.
  • Creates digital “how-to” and training for various marketing initiatives and tools, such as web features.
  • Leads major trade show participation, organization, management; manages and prepares budget reports.
  • Creates collateral and information for functional areas (Sales, Digital, Operations, etc.).
  • Manage lead tracking software and create reports on lead conversion, support sales as needed with lead data.
  • Interfaces with supplier partners as needed to execute joint marketing programs.
  • Performs other duties as requested.
Preferred Qualifications

Job Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (e.g., Marketing, Communications, etc.) with 5+ years of applicable experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that gives the individual the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job. Experience should include:

  • Successful experience in leading channel and product marketing strategic planning and growth initiatives.
  • Strong working knowledge of Social Media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook)
  • Experience with software, programming, and computer terminologies such as graphics design product and video efforts.
  • Strong computer knowledge and aptitude to learn various applications mandatory;
  • Strong communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, demonstrated use of sound judgment, good organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to compile routine reports and write correspondence.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be self-motivated to accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
