What is the purpose of this job?
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the marketing and communications strategy to drive customer acquisition, strengthen customer loyalty, and maximise cross-sell opportunities across a range of products, including car, home, and travel insurance, as well as the Health Insurance Comparison Service.
This is a key role in the delivery of the marketing strategy to support the company’s growth ambition. The role reports to the Head of Acquisition Marketing and manages a team of 2.
This is a 12 month fixed-term contract position.
What this Job is expected to Do (Accountabilities)
Marketing Strategy & Campaign Delivery
Develop and deliver targeted, integrated marketing campaigns that enhance brand awareness and generate demand across motor, home, travel, health insurance and mortgages offerings.
Execute campaigns through a range of channels including advertising, promotions, digital marketing, online and in-person events, and direct communications.
Ensure all marketing activities support organisational objectives and commercial growth targets.
Digital Marketing & Customer Engagement
Drive digital marketing initiatives to increase brand visibility, customer engagement, lead generation and conversion.
Work closely with internal digital teams and external agencies to optimise performance across social media, PPC, display advertising and other digital channels.
Lead the delivery of relevant, engaging and customer-focused content across digital platforms.
Customer Experience & Communications
Oversee the development and delivery of customer-facing collateral, both print and digital, ensuring consistency and effectiveness throughout the customer journey.
Ensure all marketing communications are customer-centric, relevant and aligned with brand standards.
Identify opportunities to enhance customer experience through improved marketing processes and communications.
Data, Insights & Performance Management
Embed a data-driven approach to decision-making, using customer and campaign insights to optimise marketing performance.
Establish robust measurement frameworks to evaluate campaign effectiveness, track ROI and drive continuous improvement.
Identify cross-sell and customer growth opportunities through analysis of customer data and behavioural insights.
Budget & Resource Management
Manage marketing budgets effectively, prioritising investment to maximise return and achieve business objectives.
Identify and implement cost efficiencies while maintaining campaign effectiveness and quality standards.
Stakeholder & Agency Management
Build strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure marketing activity supports the objectives of all business divisions.
Manage relationships with external agencies and internal creative teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, consistent and impactful marketing outputs.
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
Continuously review and improve marketing processes, systems and procedures to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and customer outcomes.
Champion best practice across the marketing function and drive operational excellence.
People Management
Lead and manage our content creator and marketing assistant.
The level of Knowledge / Skills / Experience (Technical Competency) required for the role
7+ years in a fast-paced marketing environment
Degree in marketing or business
Strong team leadership experience
Proven track record of creating and delivering effective marketing programmes, particularly through direct and digital channels
Experience in the financial services sector advantageous

Skills Required

- Degree in marketing or business
- Strong team leadership experience (managing a small team)
- Proven track record creating and delivering marketing programmes, particularly direct and digital channels
- Experience in the financial services sector
