Primary Responsibility
This position is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies for the newly established Watersound® Weddings & Events Sales Office, a centralized sales and marketing operation representing a collection of hotels and resorts throughout Walton and Bay counties. Responsibilities include supporting the launch and growth of this new business unit through digital and print marketing, social media, website, promotional campaigns, and coordination with external creative and brand agencies to support brand awareness and revenue growth across multiple properties.
Essential Job Functions
General Marketing
- Develop and execute marketing strategies and campaigns promoting weddings, social events, and group offerings across multiple properties.
- Support the launch and ongoing promotion of the Watersound Weddings & Events Sales Office.
- Coordinate website development, marketing collateral, advertising, digital content, and promotional materials with contracted advertising and/or brand agencies.
- Serve as liaison between the Weddings & Events Sales Office, property Directors of Marketing, and external agencies to ensure marketing efforts align with brand standards, timelines, business objectives, and overall property positioning.
- Manage social media platforms, email marketing, website content, digital advertising initiatives, and content marketing campaigns.
- Coordinate photography, videography, and creative content for venues and events.
- Develop collaborative relationships with wedding planners, event professionals, tourism partners, and community organizations to support promotional efforts and brand awareness.
- Assist the Weddings & Events Sales Office with bridal shows, networking events, and promotional functions as needed.
- Track marketing performance, campaign analytics, and audience engagement and provide reporting and recommendations to leadership.
- Analyze campaign performance to identify engagement drivers and recommend future marketing strategies.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all hotels, resorts, venues, services, and upcoming events within the hospitality collection.
- Attend meetings and perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
General Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or four years or more related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in marketing and/or communications.
- Minimum of five years of related marketing experience in hospitality, weddings, events, tourism, or luxury brands preferred.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, email marketing, and lead generation strategies.
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint,) and Adobe products.
- Excellent communication/organizational skills required, including oral, written and presenting and responding to information from groups of managers, clients, customers and general public.
- Excellent guest/customer service skills required.
- Must be willing to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and travel between properties as needed.
