Role Overview

This is a temporary role with an expected duration of approximately 6 months.

The Marketing Manager will have a broad set of responsibilities and will be a key leader of the Florence by Mills marketing team, tasked with overseeing the day-to-day 360 marketing across e-commerce, and wholesale channels. The individual in this role is entrepreneurial by nature and enjoys flexing their analytical skills and creative muscles, as well as having a strong ability to manage projects from concept to execution.

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, they will be taking on the day-to-day leadership, strategy, and decision-making for the brand. They will partner with the VP of Marketing on strategy, roadmaps, resources, and team leadership. They will also partner with direct reports and external agencies on successful campaigns and launches. They will have a deep working knowledge of marketing and are a strategic thinker who isn’t afraid to dive into the details. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and own execution in the following key areas: influencer marketing, creative production (in partnership with the internal creative team and external agencies), social media, paid media, organic social media, wholesale marketing.
  • Maintain the annual marketing budget month-over-month - ensure all monthly budget forecasts and budget trackers are up-to-date, and partner with finance to submit monthly forecasts.
  • In partnership with creative partners, drive strategic storytelling - provide creative feedback and direction to ensure all brand collateral and assets are aligned with brand strategy, initiatives, and DNA for launches.
  • Develop processes to improve workflow and share direction with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management experience, ensuring the teams and partners are successful in meeting deadlines, goals and timelines.
  • Manage PR strategy and external PR agency, setting strategy and providing feedback to ensure partners are fully aligned with brand initiatives, and provide results to the cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with the Social Media Manager and social agency on content strategy, creative production, influencer marketing, and strategies to grow social channels and form strong community.
  • Oversee all influencer marketing, gifting, celebrity programs and oversee execution.
  • Develop strategic go-to-market documents, briefs, communication plans, campaign calendars, and work with the creative partners to develop overarching brand and product drop messaging to support brand goals.
  • Manage all marketing calendars, working with Design, Merchandising and Sales to ensure styles and key stories are marketed accordingly. Learn the team’s vision, and be inspired to provide best-in-class marketing that supports key investments.
  • Spearhead all media strategy and analysis, working with agency/external partners to create efficient media campaigns and creative that hit key KPIs.
  • Develop wholesale marketing plans to support overall business initiatives and growth opportunities with Florence by Mills retail accounts and retail media strategies.
  • Partner with E-commerce partners on daily and weekly reporting and take action to adapt to business opportunities.
  • Keep the team informed, updated, and motivated, ensuring everyone has visibility to wider projects that may impact their role. Manage teams' daily activities to ensure alignment on strategic focus, on-time performance and accuracy.


Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of Marketing experience in a corporate setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Experience in the fashion industry specifically DTC brands a strong plus
  • Experience with retail and/or consumer marketing a plus
  •  Excellent communication skills, technical skills, and business acumen
  •  Strategic marketer skilled at translating the brand into messaging and creative for a variety of channels
  •  Deep working knowledge in: Influencer Marketing, Social Media, Paid Media, Email, E-commerce, Creative
  •  Proficient in Google Analytics, Facebook Business, Grin and Shopify
  •  Skilled at managing multiple projects (budgets, resources, assets, information, and timelines)
  •  A self-starter with a genuine passion for fashion marketing
  •  Exceptional ability to communicate and interface well across all levels of the organization
  •  Detail oriented, self-starter, proactive and highly organized
  •  A strong appreciation of fashion, style and design
  • This a hybrid role, with 4 days in our downtown LA office 

PAY RATE: $45/hr-$50/hr
