WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Create Ethiopia Homecare strategy for 3-5 years, tapping into relevant growth opportunities.
  • Lead the execution of market development plans, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and brand equity.
  • Lead and manage Projects through the local agency group, fostering strong partnerships and ensuring seamless collaboration with global and local marketing teams.
  • Lead and own the development of best-in-class brand experiences across all touchpoints, building brand equity, driving brand marketing objectives and JTBD.
  • Be the digital pioneer, pushing forward social-first marketing plans, working closely with the internal team and external agency partners to deliver seamless consumer experiences.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for all public relations (PR) and reputation management issues related to assigned brand(s), developing and executing strategies to protect and enhance brand image.
  • Understand Omo and Sunlight brand’s competition's 6 Ps, driving specific actions when needed, and owning them with the wider team and creative agency.
  • Understand market dynamics across Ethiopia and bring in winning consumer insights.
  • Work with key government and nongovernment partners to drive behavior change initiative

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Brand Management Leadership: Proven experience in brand management, marketing, or a related field, with a demonstrated track record of success in developing and executing brand strategies, leading teams, and driving business growth.
  • Integrated Marketing Planning: Proven ability to develop and execute integrated marketing plans across multiple channels, including digital, social, experiential, and traditional media.
  • Financial Management: Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets, tracking performance, and making data-driven decisions to drive growth.
  • Agency Management: Proven ability to effectively manage and collaborate with external agencies, including creative, media, and digital agencies.
  • Thorough understanding of Sales systems and Process – Channel dynamics

Additional Desirable Experience:

  • Social First Marketing Expertise: Deep understanding of social-first marketing strategy, tactics, and best practices, including content, influencer, community management, PR/earned, experiential and paid media.
  • Data Analytics Skills: Proficiency in using data analytics tools and techniques to measure marketing performance, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Crisis Communication & Issue Management: Proven ability to anticipate, manage, and mitigate potential reputational risks, handle sensitive media inquiries, and communicate effectively during a crisis.
  • Agile: Proven Agile experience in squad leadership and managing performance by delivering on OKRs through the squad team.
