About Us     

The Guinness Open Gate Brewery London (GOGBL) new Guinness neighbourhood in London that will inspire the best in brewing, food, retail and culture. Consisting of 52,000 square feet of heritage buildings and central courtyard in the historic brewing quarter in Covent Garden, GOGBL will become a key growth driver for Guinness, placing the brand in culture, driving relevancy and brand saliency amongst a new generation of drinkers. GB is the biggest Guinness market globally and Guinness is enjoying a period of exceptional growth and cultural magnetism, with the brand growing by around 50% since 2019 to the biggest it has ever been in value, volume and market share in the brand’s 264-year history. 

Location 

Key elements of the site include: 

  • Iconic Guinness Gates as main entrance to the experience, offering huge cultural impact in the heart of London. 
  • Restaurants/Taproom/bars – world class food and beer produced and served on site. 
  • Central all weather historic courtyard with world class bar experience. 
  • Retail spaces, one of which will stock items produced through exciting short-term brand collaborations. 
  • Bespoke 5th floor glass box rooftop eating and drinking experience creating brand new rooftop view of London. 
  • Brewery and beer experience/tasting tours. 
  • Cultural events space designed and fitted out with technology to enable world class meeting and conference experiences 

You will be responsible for: 

  • Delivering an engaging and exciting content strategy, that seamlessly fits with the Guinness brand
  • Ensuring that GOGBL content is developed in line with channel best practices and Diageo responsible marketing standards. Including social, website, CRM and media.
  • Working alongside our agency partner to create a strong and consistent social media presence
  • Owning internal communications to the business about key moments, milestones and successes
  • Supporting the Head of Sales & Marketing with the shaping and delivery of the GOGBL Marketing Business Plan (MBP)
  • Identifying opportunities partnerships and footfall driving initiatives.
  • Working with the Culture & Partnerships Manager to deliver best-in-class partnerships, collaborations and local community campaigns.
  • Working with the Digital Marketing & Performance Manager on the media plans for GOGBL and ensuring all online comms have brilliant content to go out to consumers with.

Key Stakeholders 

The role reports into the Head of Sales & Marketing, GOGBL. The role holder will need to build a relationship and work closely with not only the Sales & Marketing team but also key contacts within the wider Diageo business. This includes the Marketing team and Procurement team.

Qualifications and Experience Required 

  • Must have proven experience in managing content shoots, adaption of content for channels and creating content to fit a clear brand identity.
  • Experience in managing social media accounts for a brand – approving copy, content and providing constructive feedback
  • Experience working in a direct-to-consumer or hospitality environment
  • Working with external parties on collaborations, partnerships and footfall driving campaigns
  • Experience curating/feedbacking on content to best fit channel requirements, whilst being on brand and with a keen eye for detail
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, the ability to think creatively and bring a fresh approach to generating buzz and excitement
  • Experience working for a brand with a clear tone of voice and identity
