Description

For more than 60 years, Tyndale has helped readers discover the life-giving truths of God’s Word. Today we’re one of the largest independently owned Christian publishers in the world. Though our business has grown, our mission remains the same: to open God’s Word to as many as possible in language they can relate to and understand.

In this role, you'll join a talented, mission-driven team that helps readers discover life-changing nonfiction and Spanish-language titles. Team members come alongside one another on projects, sharing expertise, celebrating wins together, and staying flexible as priorities shift season to season. While each marketer manages their own list of titles, they partner closely with Acquisitions, Sales, Design, and our growing Spanish publishing team to bring each book's marketing plan to life. Join a team that values flexibility, collaboration, and a shared passion for the mission behind the work.

As Marketing Manager, you'll shape how readers in both English and Spanish discover the books that speak to their walk with Christ. You'll turn strong titles into successful launches — building demand with consumers and trade partners alike, and giving our authors and sales team the tools they need to reach readers across two languages and cultures. You'll work with a wide range of voices — from pastors and ministry leaders to niche experts in health and wellness, apologetics, and Christian living — bringing each author's message to the readers who need it most.

What You'll Do

  • Plan, present, and manage paid marketing campaigns — digital and traditional — that build awareness and demand for frontlist and backlist trade titles with both consumer and trade audiences.
  • Present marketing plans directly to authors and agents, managing expectations and guiding collaborative efforts around each author's platform.
  • Develop creative direction and copy for marketing vehicles including online advertising, social media, email, video, websites, and media/press outreach.
  • Equip the sales team with the tools and materials they need to represent our titles effectively to the trade.
  • Manage assigned budgets and multiple simultaneous projects across internal departments and outside suppliers, staying nimble as release volume shifts by season.
  • Curate and present data and insights to inform marketing and business decisions.

Skills and Qualifications Needed

  • Three to five years of marketing experience; publishing industry experience a plus
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish — reading, writing, speaking, and public presentation
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills
  • Experience using email, social media, and public relations as marketing tools
  • Collaborative, relationship-building interpersonal style, with the ability to work across multiple departments daily
  • Ability to work nimbly in a fast-paced environment and manage day-to-day priorities with supervision
  • Problem-solving ability and a can-do attitude
  • Creative writing skills, sales experience, or client service experience a plus
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (less than 10%) and ability to lift up to 30 lbs. for conference setup
  • Personal alignment with and adherence to the Bible as God's Word, and agreement with our Statement of Faith

After an initial training period, this role is open to a hybrid work schedule consideration, which means you'll be given the flexibility to split time between working from home and in the office.
