Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and technically adept Marketing Manager – Business Development to drive business growth and revenue opportunities across the Asia territory. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in security solutions and your customer-centric approach to identify new opportunities, support field teams, and influence future product strategies. You will play a key role in expanding Microchip’s presence in the security market and shaping our end-market strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with field sales and applications teams to identify, develop, and close business opportunities, driving revenue growth.
  • Build strong, credible relationships with internal teams and customers by delivering value-added support and insights.
  • Develop and deliver impactful sales training and customer presentations tailored to address specific needs and highlight Microchip’s solutions.
  • Travel within the region to engage with customers, deliver training, and participate in opportunity reviews (10%–40% travel expected).
  • Serve as a technical resource and liaison, facilitating effective communication between field teams and factory applications support.
  • Analyze and understand the competitive landscape of the security market to inform strategy and positioning.
  • Provide feedback and market insights to influence SCG’s product development and customer support strategies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other business units, marketing, applications, and field teams to maximize Microchip’s value in customer designs.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent; advanced degree a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Applications, Marketing, Sales, or related roles within the semiconductor or security industry.
  • Proven experience in the security market is required.
  • Strong understanding of the semiconductor business model; experience with Secure Element / Embedded Controller products is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with hardware and/or software development for embedded systems is a plus.
  • Excellent English communication skills, including presentation development, delivery, and active listening.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional, global teams and build constructive relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Willingness to adapt, learn, and travel as needed.

25% - 50%
