Carta develops purpose-built software that transforms traditional accounting into a powerful growth engine.
The Role
The Company You’ll Join

Carta connects founders, investors, and limited partners through world-class software, purpose-built for everyone in venture capital, private equity and private credit. Trusted by 65,000+ companies in 160+ countries, Carta’s platform of software and services lays the groundwork so you can build, invest, and scale with confidence.

Carta’s Fund Administration platform supports 9,000+ funds and SPVs, representing nearly $185B in assets under management, with tools designed to enhance the strategic impact of fund CFOs. Recognized by Fortune, Forbes, Fast Company, Inc. and Great Places to Work, Carta is shaping the future of private market infrastructure.

Together, Carta is creating the end-to-end ERP platform for private markets. Traditional ERP solutions don’t work for Private Funds. Private capital markets need a comprehensive software solution to replace outdated spreadsheets and fragmented service providers. Carta’s software for the Office of the Fund CFO does just that - it’s a new category of software to make private markets look more like public markets - a connected ERP for private capital.

The Problems You'll Solve

At Carta, our employees set out on a mission to unlock the power of equity ownership for more people in more places. As an Event Marketing Intern, you will spend 10 weeks embedded in our high-velocity Integrated Marketing team, gaining hands-on experience in how world-class events drive business growth.

We are looking for a proactive intern who is eager to marry best-in-class event experiences with Carta’s unique brand POV and market position. You thrive in environments where "fast-paced" is the baseline and aren't afraid to jump into the deep end. You are a holistic thinker who is excited to learn how different event strategies complete the user journey. Above all, you possess an "owner mentality"—no detail is too small if it means delivering a delightful and enriching experience for our customers and prospects.

During this 10-week internship, you will:

  • Support Event Execution: Assist in planning and production of live and virtual event formats, from intimate invite-only activations to large-scale webinars. You’ll help manage all pre and post event details including timelines, attendee list and invite coordination, registration, logistics and reporting.
  • Contribute to Demand Gen: Learn how event programming accelerates the sales funnel by assisting with lead capture processes and tracking how events result in measurable impact.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work across Sales, Business Development, Product Marketing, and Customer Marketing and other marketing functions to ensure event assets (landing pages, emails, social copy) are on brand, support event objectives, and ship on time.
  • Association, Media Company, and Event Ecosystem Research: Research and identify potential partnerships and influencers with platforms that can amplify Carta’s message
  • On-the-Fly Problem Solving: Support the team in solving real-time logistical puzzles, maintaining a proactive "jump-in" attitude during high-pressure event days.
  • Data & ROI Analysis: Assist in post-event reporting by gathering data on attendance and engagement to help the team inform future investment and strategy.

Program At-a-Glance

Location: San Francisco (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday mandatory in-office)
Duration: 10 Weeks (June 8, 2026 – August 14, 2026)
Commitment: 40 hours per week

The Team You'll Work With

You’ll be joining our Integrated Marketing Team as a key player on our dedicated Events team. We manage an ambitious calendar of live and virtual events that scale from high-touch gatherings to large-scale premium experiences. Our team moves fast, and we are looking for an intern who is eager to get their hands dirty, learn the ropes of the industry, and see how a technology leader operates from the inside.

About You

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and high-energy intern who embodies the following:

  • Current Student: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (Marketing, Communications, Business, or Hospitality majors preferred).
  • Meticulous Execution: You believe the "magic" is in the details. You are highly organized and take pride in ensuring every task is polished and purposeful.
  • Adaptability: You love a challenge and thrive when things are moving quickly. You can pivot your focus without losing momentum.
  • Strong Communicator: You are a confident writer and speaker who can collaborate effectively with various internal stakeholders.
  • Curious & Analytical: You have a strong interest in the Venture Capital and Private Equity ecosystems and are eager to learn the "why" behind our event strategy.
  • "All-In" Attitude: You have a "no task too small" mentality. Whether it’s researching venues or helping manage a virtual green room, you are ready to jump in and help the team win.
  • Availability: Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the 10-week program. (Optional: Willingness to travel to select event locations if required).
