Job Description

Marketing Intern – Communities
 

Overview:

The Marketing Intern will assist the Marketing team in executing marketing initiatives aligned with the company’s strategic goals. This role will provide hands-on experience across various marketing functions, including digital marketing, assisting social media content creation, copy writing, event planning and execution, and community experience.
 

The intern will support the creation of marketing content, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to enhancing the brand’s footprint in the assigned region.
Key Deliverables:
 

Social media and Content

• Assist in the content capture and creation including caption writing, videography and photography for social media.

• Coordinate with vendors and team members to ensure timely delivery of materials. Proof and organize creative assets.
   

Events and Activations

• Collaborate on event planning and execution, including promotional activities, event logistics, and post-event reporting. Provide on-site support as needed.

Digital Marketing

• Help maintain and update digital platforms, including websites and email marketing. Assist in creating blog content and monitoring analytics to optimize email campaigns.
   

Community Experience

• Support community events, liaise with partners, and gather feedback to elevate the community experience. Provides assistance in coordinating on-site activations and maintaining marketing inventory.
   

Administrative Support

• Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting for marketing projects. Organization of marketing assets including file management and inventory.

What You Bring:

• Currently pursuing a degree/diploma in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

• Basic understanding of marketing principles and digital marketing tools.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

• A proactive, creative, and collaborative mindset.

• Has a reliable vehicle, student must be returning to school in the Fall or Winter semester after internship, and available to work evenings and weekends for events/activations.
