About the Team:
SCMP Learn is an education-focused business solution provided by The South China Morning Post, dedicated to empowering educators, parents, and students passionate about cultivating the next generation’s English proficiency, critical thinking, storytelling, leadership, and other future-ready skills.
Purpose of the Position:
Assist the SCMP Learn’s Marketing & Event team in executing different marketing projects and event management. Support the Digital Marketing team in executing GBA go-to-market plans and creating omni-channel promotions in support of digital platform re-launch and digital strategies, managing events, and creating compelling content to promote our educational offerings.
Major Responsibilities (for Marketing & Events team):
- Assist in the execution of the marketing projects including Student of the Year Awards, Posties Summer Camp, Mock Exams, Digital Marketing Campaigns and other business-community initiatives.
- Support event logistics, follow-up and provide administrative support.
- Support marketing promotional content for social media channels on Xiaohongshu, Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp and LinkedIn.
- Prepare marketing materials, and communicate with internal and external parties to ensure a smooth project execution.
- Participate in an intern-led research project with exposure to present your ideas to the wider team and management.
Major Responsibilities (for Digital Marketing team):
- Assist in developing go-to-market strategies by researching market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to position a digital offering effectively.
- Create marketing collaterals (e.g., sales binders, promotional flyers, product leaflets, user guides) to enhance brand visibility and support user acquisition.
- Write compelling copy for omni-channel campaigns, including newsletters, email marketing, blogs, and website content tailored to Mainland-to-Hong Kong parents.
- Develop engaging graphics and videos for promotional materials and digital channels using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Support social media promotion (Xiaohongshu, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Whatsapp), including content creation, scheduling, and audience engagement.
- Maintain a content calendar for omni-channel marketing campaigns to ensure consistent messaging and timely delivery.
- Analyze campaign performance metrics across channels to provide insights for optimizing go-to-market efforts.
- Assist with translation of marketing content for multi-lingual audiences to broaden SCMP Learn’s reach.
Skills and Experience that will lead to success:
- Current student in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related disciplines.
- Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin.
- Strong copywriting, editing, and content creation skills; experience is a plus.
- Proactive, self-motivated, independent, organized, and able to work under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Xiaohongshu, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, WhatsApp) and content marketing.
- Knowledge of design and video editing software such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, and Premiere Pro is an advantage.
- Responsible, diligent, team-oriented, and eager to learn.
- Available for a full-time or part-time internship until 22 August 2025, with a minimum commitment of 3 days per week.
Work location will be at Causeway Bay office.
