Overview
The Marketing Inside Sales Representative – Product Support is an inside sales role within the Marketing department responsible for developing, growing, and retaining assigned customer accounts. Through proactive outbound engagement, the representative identifies customer needs and promotes Quinn and Caterpillar Parts, Service, and Product Support solutions that support customer success.
This position manages an assigned customer portfolio, maintains consistent account coverage, develops and closes sales opportunities, and supports Marketing-designated customer lists, campaigns, leads, and targeted growth initiatives. The representative works collaboratively across Quinn departments to connect customers with appropriate solutions and foster long-term customer growth.
Wages
Starting wage will depend on experience and education. $25.80 - $27.00
Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of customer accounts to strengthen engagement, improve retention, and increase Parts and Service sales.
- Provide consistent, proactive account coverage through outbound customer engagement and achievement of established Planned Annual Rate (PAR) expectations.
- Build strong customer relationships by applying product knowledge, responding promptly, communicating proactively, and following through consistently.
- Establishes a clear understanding of customer operations and needs, including equipment population, purchasing behaviors, upcoming projects, and potential Product Support opportunities.
- Develop and close Product Support sales opportunities, including Parts, Service, Customer Value Agreement (CVA) maintenance plans, and other applicable Quinn and Caterpillar offerings.
- Recommend solutions that deliver customer value, improve equipment productivity, and support effective cost-of-ownership management.
- Promote and support customer adoption of applicable Quinn and Caterpillar digital tools, e-commerce platforms, commercial accounts, equipment management solutions, and customer programs.
- Follow up on Marketing-designated customer lists, campaigns, leads, and targeted growth opportunities to convert engagement into Product Support sales.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and meet established objectives for sales, account growth, customer retention, and activity levels.
- Use SalesLink/CRM and applicable company applications to document customer contacts, opportunities, follow-up activities, sales activity, and relevant account information.
- Share customer insights, market trends, competitive information, campaign feedback, and potential growth opportunities with Marketing.
- Develop strong working relationships with Parts, Service, Machine Sales, Rental, Marketing, Credit, and other Quinn departments to effectively support customer needs.
- Identify customer needs outside the scope of the role, connect customers with the appropriate Quinn representative, and ensure timely follow-through.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or technical degree preferred. A minimum of two years of related experience is preferred in sales, customer service, account management, heavy equipment, Product Support, Parts, Service, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers in both languages.

- Proficiency with computers, phones, and related technology, including Microsoft Office and similar business applications.
- Ability to perform basic sales and business calculations, including discounts, commissions, averages, percentages, ratios, and related figures.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to communicate in writing clearly and effectively; Read with comprehension the necessary related documentation. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization.
