This is a hands-on, multi-dimensional marketing role, perfect for someone who thrives on variety. You’ll support BIS’s marketing efforts across multiple channels, from website updates and digital campaigns to events, podcasts, and social media. We’re looking for someone who’s both creative and analytical, confident working with technology, and excited to experiment with new tools (including AI) to elevate marketing performance.
While you’ll support with keeping our websites running smoothly, this isn’t just a webmaster role you’ll also be helping plan events, promote our content, and strengthen our overall brand presence.
 
This is an in-person role based in Sherwood Park, Alberta.

In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Support of the BIS web presence updating and improving content, troubleshooting basic issues, and ensuring a professional, consistent online experience.
  • Support marketing campaigns and initiatives across email, digital advertising, social media, and content marketing.
  • Support the planning, promotion, and execution of events from small in-person gatherings to webinars and virtual sessions
  • Assist with the production and promotion of our podcast, including scheduling guests, uploading content, and sharing episodes
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create and launch marketing campaigns, emails, and related assets
  • Use AI tools and new technologies to improve marketing efficiency, content quality, and overall impact
  • Provide hands-on support across a wide range of general marketing initiatives—from planning to execution

You might be the right fit if you:

  • Are a strong generalist comfortable jumping between writing, organizing, designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting.
  • Have hands-on experience with WordPress (front-end and back-end), but your skills go far beyond web maintenance.
  • Have a great eye for detail and presentation whether it’s a web page, event setup, or social post, you know how to make things look sharp.
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment and communicate clearly across teams.
  • Embrace feedback and use it to adapt quickly and continuously improve.
  • Thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments, and bring strong communication skills to team projects and cross-functional work. 
  • Are a self-starter who takes initiative, identifies opportunities, and enjoys solving problems without waiting for instructions. 
  • Are quick to adopt new technologies and tools, driving AI and other automation opportunities to enhance modern marketing workflows. 
  • Communicate clearly and confidently, both in writing and in conversation, across a range of audiences. 
  • Have experience supporting events, including planning logistics, managing registrations, and helping with promotion for both virtual and in-person formats. 

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Familiarity with HubSpot, Google Analytics, or other marketing platforms 
  • Experience in B2B or SaaS environments
