Summary Generated by Built In

Our mission is to provide innovative services critical to society, unlocking a cleaner, better and more profitable future. Working towards this goal, Volue has become a leading technology supplier and enabler of the green transition, helping energy companies simplify and optimise everyday operations.

We are now looking for a Marketing Events Manager to shape how Volue uses events to connect with customers, strengthen relationships and grow our business across Europe.

Events at Volue are much more than opportunities for brand visibility. They are an important business tool: a place where customer relationships grow, commercial opportunities develop, our teams learn what the market needs, and our people connect with the industry. From our own flagship events, such as Power Summits and Trading Expert Talks, to exhibitions, trade shows and industry conferences, you will help us make sure every event has a clear purpose and creates meaningful value.

This role represents an evolution from traditional event management. Rather than focusing primarily on execution, you will help shape the strategy behind our European event portfolio — deciding which events matter, why we participate, who we want to reach, and what we want each experience to achieve, whether that is pipeline, customer retention, market insight or reputation.

What you will be doing to make a difference:

  • Own and evolve Volue's European event strategy, ensuring every event supports clear business objectives such as pipeline growth, customer engagement, retention, customer learning, and brand positioning.

  • Lead the planning and delivery of flagship Volue events and priority third-party industry events, creating professional, high-impact experiences for customers, partners, prospects, and internal stakeholders.

  • Partner with Sales, Product, Customer Success, Marketing, and regional leaders to define event goals, audience strategy, messaging, content, speaker plans, and follow-up ownership.

  • Manage budgets, timelines, suppliers, agencies, venues, sponsorships, and event organisers, ensuring strong operational delivery and commercial value from each investment.

  • Measure, report, and optimise event performance through lead generation, pipeline influence, customer insight, stakeholder feedback, post-event follow-up, and continuous improvement.

What you need to succeed:

  • Significant experience leading B2B event programmes or event strategy, ideally in technology, energy, SaaS, industrial, or similarly complex markets.

  • Ability to translate business priorities into clear event strategies, audience plans, formats, content, and measurable success criteria.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence influencing senior colleagues and aligning Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and regional teams.

  • Fluent German and English communication skills, with the ability to represent Volue professionally across European markets.

  • A proactive, structured, data-informed, and creative mindset, combined with strong project management, vendor negotiation, budget ownership, and willingness to travel across Europe.

You don't need to meet every single requirement to apply. If you are excited about the opportunity and believe you could make a difference at Volue, we would be happy to hear from you.

Reasons to join Volue team and what we offer:

  • Meaningful impact: Help shape how a leading green-tech company connects with customers and contributes to the energy transition.

  • Real influence: Have a genuine opportunity to shape and develop the European events strategy and your role within it.

  • Strategic ownership: Work at the intersection of Marketing and Sales, with a direct connection between your work and business outcomes.

  • International collaboration: Work with talented colleagues and stakeholders across Europe in an inclusive, international environment.

  • Flexibility: Choose between remote work from anywhere in Europe or working from one of our offices, with flexible working hours.

  • Competitive compensation based on your professional experience.

  • 30 days of annual vacation.

  • Corporate benefits such as Urban Sports Club, JobRad or a pension scheme, as well as access to a Mental Health Platform.

  • Attractive referral programme.

  • A culture where your perspective matters: We value different experiences, ideas and ways of working and want everyone to feel comfortable bringing their whole self to work.

The position reports to the Head of Events and works closely with colleagues across the Growth organisation, particularly Sales and Marketing.

In Volue, we cherish each employee’s competence, ideas and personality. Let your skills and talent be a part of our team – and let us leave our mark on the world together!

Company Culture

In Volue, we believe that in order to be a successful company, we need to bring everyone to the table.

We look at diversity as a competitive advantage. A diverse workforce enables better decision-making and creates more value. By inclusion, we refer to the sense of belonging and being part of a community at work. We want the people of Volue to feel welcome, valued and not least encouraged to bring their whole, unique selves to work.

Volue is about people. From staff to client, people are at the center of all our operations, and we always strive for a flat structure where everyone feels included, appreciated and recognized for their individual efforts. Or as we call it "ONE Volue". We hire talented individuals, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, ancestry, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, cultural background or religious beliefs.

Skills Required

  • Proven experience in event management or event strategy (B2B preferred)
  • Experience delivering owned events (summits, conferences, expert talks) and third-party events (exhibitions, trade shows)
  • Strong understanding of events' role in commercial and customer strategy
  • Fluent German and English, written and spoken
  • Strong collaboration skills across Sales, Marketing, Product and Customer Success
  • Excellent project management skills for complex, multi-stakeholder projects
  • Confidence managing budgets, suppliers, agencies and negotiations
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, international environment
  • Willingness to travel regularly across Europe
  • Experience within B2B and technology, energy or industrial environments (ideal)
  • Creative and curious mindset for developing event concepts and continuous improvement
