The Role 

We’re looking for a Marketing Effectiveness Manager to own and embed a data-driven marketing strategy for IG UK and Ireland across acquisition, retention and brand. Sitting within the Performance and Lifecycle team, you’ll own key measurement projects such as marketing mix modeling (MMM), attribution and incrementality testing. 

Working closely with Marketing, Data Science and Analytics teams, you’ll translate insights from measurement into actionable recommendations that rapidly scale acquisition, reduce churn and improve ROI (return on marketing investment).   
 
What You’ll Do 

  • Lead the development and ongoing refinement of IG's marketing mix model, delivering regular insights on channel effectiveness, ROI, and optimal budget allocation across acquisition and brand marketing.  

  • Design incrementality and geo-based experiments to validate and refine MMM outputs, working with channel owners to ensure optimal set-up is deployed  

  • Build and maintain marketing effectiveness dashboards and reporting that enable stakeholders to track performance, understand channel dynamics, and make data-driven optimization decisions (e.g. channel level marginal CAC) 

  • Champion analytical rigor and best practices in marketing measurement, educating teams on methodology, interpretation of results, and appropriate use of different measurement approaches.  

  • Collaborate with Data Science, Analytics and Data Engineering teams to enhance data infrastructure, improve tracking implementation, and ensure data quality across marketing touchpoints.  

  • Contribute to the strategic narrative around marketing effectiveness, presenting insights to senior leadership and influence investment decisions to achieve set targets 
     

What You’ll Need For This Role 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in marketing effectiveness or econometrics, ideally within financial services, fintech, or ecommerce.  

  • Strong working knowledge of marketing mix modeling, multi-touch attribution, and incrementality testing methodologies.  

  • Proven ability to work with large datasets and complex analytical challenges.  

  • Demonstrated track record of translating technical analysis into strategic marketing recommendations that influence channel and campaign investment. 

  • Experience working across multiple marketing channels including paid search, display, social media, finfluencers, affiliate, and ATL, with understanding of their unique measurement challenges.  

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with ability to present complex analytical concepts to non-technical audiences and influence decision-making at senior levels.  

  • Experience building scalable measurement processes and frameworks that drive consistency across teams. 

  • Collaborative mindset with proven ability to work effectively across Marketing, Data Science, Analytics and Data Engineering teams.  

  • Experience in regulated industries (financial services preferred) and understanding of compliance considerations in marketing measurement is a plus.
