We have a great opportunity to join our Marketing team at our Corporate branch in Plymouth, MN as a Marketing Director. The Marketing Director is a senior leader responsible for defining the company’s market position and building a clear, consistent, and differentiated brand across Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Showroom, and eCommerce. This role owns brand strategy, market positioning, and go‑to‑market alignment, ensuring customer experience, messaging, and commercial priorities support long‑term growth. This leader partners closely with executive leadership to shape how the company shows up across markets, branches, and customer segments, translating brand strategy into effective marketing, digital, and customer engagement initiatives. The role also leads the systems, tools, and processes that drive scalable execution, stronger market visibility, and consistent brand delivery across the organization.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Defines strategic marketing direction by setting goals that drive market share growth, customer engagement, digital transformation, and long‑term profitability.
  • Develops and executes integrated marketing plans aligned with market trends, customer insights, competitive dynamics, and evolving digital/AI capabilities.
  • Leads market intelligence efforts, analyzing financial, technological, demographic, competitive, and AI‑driven factors to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Oversees marketing budgets and investments, including digital marketing, CRM platforms, automation tools, AI initiatives, advertising, and vendor co‑op funds.
  • Strengthens customer relationships through engagement programs, events, trips, open houses, trade association participation, and contractor-focused promotions.
  • Guides product positioning and branding strategy, including packaging, pricing support, promotional planning, and customer communication initiatives.
  • Provides forecasting and performance reporting using analytics, dashboards, CRM data, ecommerce metrics, and business intelligence to inform strategic decisions.
  • Leads digital, ecommerce, and social media strategy, overseeing website content, SEO, online promotions, digital tools, social platforms, and customer experience optimization.
  • Leads and mentors marketing teams, driving innovation, accountability, change management, and alignment with sales, operations, and executive leadership across all business segments.
  • Manages marketing technology infrastructure, including CRM systems, databases, segmentation tools, automation platforms, and AI-driven innovation initiatives.
  • Builds and manages strategic partnerships with vendors, agencies, digital partners, technology providers, and cross-functional internal teams to support growth initiatives.
  • Travel up to 15%
Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
  • 7+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience

 

Experience and/or Training

  • Experience within distribution, manufacturing, construction, industrial, or related industries preferred
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems, ecommerce platforms, analytics tools, and marketing automation software
  • Demonstrated experience implementing technology and AI-driven marketing solutions
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to lead organizational change and digital transformation initiatives
  • Experience managing customer engagement, branding, social media, and digital marketing strategies
  • Strategic and forward-thinking mindset
