Summary Generated by Built In
BIS Safety Software is a SaaS company on a mission to change how organizations manage safety, learning, and compliance. As we continue to grow, clear and consistent messaging across our marketing channels is increasingly important. We are looking for a Marketing Copywriter who can help lead that effort.

About this role:

You'll own the quality, clarity, and consistency of BIS marketing messaging. You will work closely with marketing leadership to understand the company’s positioning and translate it into clear, compelling copy across a wide range of channels. This includes everything from advertising and website content to buyer guides, campaigns, product messaging, and video scripts.

The role requires someone who enjoys thinking deeply about how customers interpret messaging, and how different audiences respond to different types of communication. At BIS, copywriting is not simply writing. It is about understanding the psychology of buyers and shaping how the market understands our product.

What does success look like in this role?

Speed of output, and strong technical understanding of our digital product. We produce a high volume of marketing content across campaigns, website pages, guides, and digital initiatives. The right candidate can write quickly while maintaining clarity and quality. And copywriting is not treated as a support function. This role has real influence over how the company communicates with the market.

This is a remote position.

In this role, you'll be expected to:

  • Own Marketing Messaging Quality - ensure consistency of messaging across marketing channels, maintain clarity and discipline in how the company communicates its value, and help refine the language used to describe our platform and capabilities
  • Develop a Working Understanding of the BIS Platform - write accurate and credible marketing copy, the copywriter must develop a strong working understanding of how the BIS platform functions. This includes learning the core capabilities of the system and ensuring that marketing messaging accurately reflects what the software can actually do. The goal is to ensure that marketing copy remains aligned with real product functionality, while still communicating value clearly to the market.
  • Write and Develop Marketing Content - you will create and refine copy for a variety of marketing initiatives including Website pages and landing pages, digital advertising campaigns, buyer guides and marketing assets, campaign messaging and promotional materials, video scripts and product marketing content, and email campaigns and marketing communications
  • Understand the Buyer - strong marketing copy requires understanding how buyers think. You will work with the marketing team to develop messaging that reflects different customer types, different levels of buyer sophistication, and different stages of the purchasing journey
  • Work Across Marketing Channels - sessaging at BIS appears in many forms. You will contribute copy and messaging for digital marketing campaigns, website content, SEO and AEO-driven content initiatives, marketing guides and downloadable assets, and product-focused marketing materials
  • Use AI as a Professional Tool - AI is increasingly part of modern marketing workflows. In this role you will use AI tools to assist research and content development, refine and elevate AI-assisted drafts into high-quality marketing copy, and help the team use AI more effectively in marketing workflows

You might be the right fit if you:

  • Are someone who enjoys thinking deeply about messaging and how customers respond to it
  • Have 1+ years of professional marketing copywriting experience
  • Possess a strong ability to translate complex systems into clear messaging
  • Are an excellent judgment about tone, clarity, and positioning
  • Have an ability to write quickly without sacrificing quality
  • Thrive working in a fast-paced marketing environment
  • Have experience using AI tools as part of modern content workflows
  • Are comfortable receiving feedback and iterating quickly, reducing revision cycles over time
  • Are humble, eager to learn, and happy to ask questions and seek clarity where needed
  • Are energized by the challenge of making complex products easy to understand

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience writing for SaaS platforms, particularly in safety, compliance, training, or other regulated industries
  • Familiarity with SEO copywriting principles and how content supports organic search performance
  • Experience writing across multiple formats including landing pages, email campaigns, video scripts, ad copy, and buyer guides
  • A working understanding of how marketing messaging connects to broader campaign strategy and lead generation
  • Exposure to content management systems and marketing automation platforms

Compensation and benefits:

  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
  • Full medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Life insurance and disability insurance
  • Health spending account
  • Flexible working hours
  • On-the-job training and growth opportunities
