The company retails high-quality cannabis products at its High Profile locations in Connecticut, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, Massachusetts, and New Jersey.

The Marketing Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the marketing efforts for our business. This individual will be responsible for coordinating and implementing marketing strategies to drive traffic, enhance customer experience, and ultimately increase sales.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of cannabis retail environments, is detail-oriented, and can effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. This is an amazing opportunity for someone looking to help take High Profile Cannabis Shops to the next level! 

This role is hybrid in Ann Arbor, Michigan. 

In this role you will...

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan, execute, and evaluate market-compliant retail marketing campaigns. 
  • Ensure timely development and production of promotional materials to meet specific store needs. 
  • Execute in-store promotions and events to boost foot traffic and sales, including coordinating vendor popups and engagements in store with local teams.
  • Collaborate with store managers to ensure consistent messaging and brand representation. 
  • Produce in-store promotional materials such as sizzle sheets, tv screens graphics, and necessary retail signage.
  • Organize and manage marketing events, including event sponsorships and community outreach initiatives while ensuring events align with company’s overall marketing strategy and goals.
  • Executing localized marketing campaigns tailored to the specific market’s demographics, preferences, and needs. 
  • Work closely with retail teams to design visually compelling in-store signage and displays that align with business priorities, marketing campaigns and seasonal themes. 
  • Ensure consistent brand representation across all customer channels. 
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for retail marketing improvement. 
  • Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to stay ahead of the curve. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, merchandising, and operations, to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with overall business goals. 
  • Help coordinate go to market planning documents, communicate to store teams on marketing initiatives, ensures smooth and connected campaigns.
  • Track and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, providing regular reports and insights to measure success and identify areas for improvement.

Skills and experience you have...

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field preferred but not required.
  • Cannabis retail marketing or retail operations experience is required (minimum experience of 2 years).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms and tools (e.g., Alpine IQ, Dutchie). 
  • Ability to produce polished graphic elements using programs such as Canva, Power Point and Adobe software. 
  • Creative mindset with an eye for visual aesthetics. 
  • Experience coordinating and executing events or in-store activations is a plus. 
  • Comfort with using data to inform campaign decisions and improve strategy. 
  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving industry and pivot strategies as necessary. 
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a background check. 
  • Must be able to report in office in Ann Arbor 3 days a week. 
  • Candidates should expect to travel up to 25% of the time, depending on business needs. Travel will typically involve conducting field research for new store openings and attending grand openings and local market events.
