TITLE: Marketing Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Marketing Director

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt Hourly

DEPT: Marketing

POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing Coordinator plays an important administrative and operational role within the Marketing Department at Wood & Huston Bank. This position helps ensure departmental activities, records, materials, events, and internal requests are organized, accurate, and completed in a timely manner. The Coordinator supports the administration of marketing initiatives, community events, vendor coordination, promotional inventory, website updates, reporting, and day-to-day departmental workflow.

This role provides dependable coordination, follow-through, and administrative support that allows the Marketing Department to operate efficiently and uphold our commitment to serving customers and communities with excellence. It is not intended to require design or marketing creative work.


Work varies as priorities and deadlines change. The position requires flexibility, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and a service-oriented approach consistent with Wood & Huston Bank’s values. Previous marketing experience is not required; we are seeking a dependable, organized individual who can manage administrative details and contribute positively to team success.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

(Majority of duties, but not all-inclusive, nor intended to prevent other duties from being assigned as necessary.)

  • Provide consistent administrative, organizational, and operational support that strengthens departmental efficiency and supports WHB’s Trusted Advisor culture.
  • Assist with coordinating, scheduling, and executing departmental initiatives and community event logistics.
  • Maintain and update departmental systems, records, spreadsheets, reports, website content, and other information with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Manage promotional materials, inventory, vendor orders, and distribution of items to banking centers and community events.
  • Support the transport, organization, setup, and maintenance of materials, displays, signage, and event supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with WHB Trusted Advisors, vendors, and community partners to support departmental operations and community engagement.
  • Participate in community events and sponsorship activities as assigned, including occasional evening and weekend commitments.
  • Respond to routine requests from other departments.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with WHB Trusted Advisors, customers, vendors, and community partners.
  • Demonstrates initiative, resourcefulness, sound judgment, and a willingness to learn new processes.
  • Ability to learn and embrace new software, systems, and workflows.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Copilot).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Related administrative, customer service, or office experience preferred.
  • This role is administrative and operational and does not require design or marketing creative work.
