Job Summary
The Marketing Coordinator is a company-wide, entry-level role that supports event planning and execution and day-to-day social media across The St. Joe Company and its diverse business segments. This position works collaboratively with the Marketing team and internal business partners to coordinate engaging events, create and publish timely content, maintain project details and help deliver consistent brand experiences. The ideal candidate is an organized, creative and adaptable team player who can balance office-based coordination with hands-on work at company properties and events.
Primary Responsibilities & Essential Functions
Event Planning and Execution
• Support the planning and execution of company events, sponsorship activations, community programs, grand openings, concerts, festivals, open houses and other marketing initiatives across business segments.
• Coordinate event details including timelines, vendors, entertainment, permits, venue needs, signage, collateral, supplies, staffing, guest communications and on-site logistics.
• Research and obtain vendor proposals, maintain event checklists and budgets and assist with contracts, invoices and post-event follow-up.
• Prepare event materials, organize supplies, assist with setup and breakdown and provide hands-on support before, during and after events.
• Communicate with internal teams, property representatives, community partners and vendors to keep assigned projects moving and details accurate.
Social Media and Content Support
• Build and schedule approved posts for assigned social media accounts across company brands under the direction of the Content and Social Media Manager.
• Source approved photos and videos, draft captions and adapt content to established brand voices and platform requirements.
• Capture vertical photo and video content at company properties and events and edit Reels, Stories and other short-form content.
• Maintain assigned content calendars and verify dates, links, tags, operating information and other public-facing details.
• Monitor trends, holidays and emerging formats and recommend relevant content ideas for company brands and initiatives.
• Monitor routine comments, direct messages, tags and engagement and escalate guest-service or sensitive matters appropriately.
Marketing Coordination and Administration
• Coordinate marketing requests and special projects, including event promotions, collateral, email campaigns, photo and video shoots, presentations and cross-promotional initiatives.
• Gather accurate information and approved assets from company teams, properties, vendors, creators and digital asset libraries.
• Draft and proofread copy and review marketing materials for accuracy, consistency and compliance with brand standards.
• Maintain organized project files, event records, content assets, contact lists and assigned account information.
• Follow established approval workflows, brand standards and standard operating procedures.
• Attend internal and external meetings as needed, document action items and coordinate follow-up on assigned tasks.
QualificationsEducation and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in marketing, communications, public relations, hospitality, event management or a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• Experience supporting events, hospitality, tourism, or community programming is a plus.
• Examples of social media content, short-form video, photography, writing or event-related work may be requested.
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, required; familiarity with Canva, CapCut, Adobe products or similar creative tools is a plus.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to work occasional evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

• Excellent written and verbal communication, proofreading and customer-service skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and build productive relationships with internal teams, vendors, community partners, guests and customers.
• Working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram and short-form video content, with an interest in social media trends and digital storytelling.
• Comfort filming vertical content and editing short-form video using tools such as CapCut, Canva or Instagram Edits.
• Ability to learn and maintain multiple brand voices while following established approvals and brand standards.
• Professional judgment and discretion when handling public-facing information, social media engagement and changing event conditions.
Physical Demands
• Ability to frequently use a computer and mobile device and remain seated at a desk for extended periods.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events and on-property assignments.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and travel locally among company properties and event locations.
• Ability to lift, carry and move up to 25 pounds of event supplies, signage or light equipment.
Working Conditions
• Work is performed in indoor and outdoor office, property and event environments, with frequent local travel throughout Northwest Florida. The position may involve exposure to seasonal heat, cold, inclement weather, crowds, noise and periods of high activity or stress. Occasional evening, weekend and holiday work is required based on events, timely social media needs and business priorities.
