The Marketing Coordinator supports the execution of Nexus Engineering Group’s marketing activities across digital and internal channels. This role assists with social media management, content creation, website updates, internal communications, and marketing analytics. Working closely with the Marketing Manager and cross-functional teams, the coordinator helps ensure consistent messaging and timely delivery of marketing materials.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Social Media & Digital Presence Management: Support day-to-day management of Nexus’s social media accounts, including content creation, scheduling, community management, and basic website updates.
  • Content Development & Coordination: Draft and assist in developing internal and external marketing content such as newsletters, success stories, recruitment materials, and social and digital assets.
  • Website & SEO Support: Assist with website maintenance, formatting, metadata, keyword tagging, and basic SEO performance monitoring.
  • Marketing Analytics & Reporting: Collect and compile performance data from social, website, and SEO efforts; generate regular reports and identify basic trends.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support: Support Marketing Manager with cross functional collaboration by organizing meetings with HR, Business Development, MSLs, recruiting, and other internal teams. Responsible for distributing agendas, taking notes, and documenting action items and next steps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Content Management: Draft, schedule, and publish content for Nexus’s social media platforms using approved tools and brand guidelines.
  • Internal & External Communications: Assist in writing, editing, and publishing internal communications, including newsletters, success stories, and other key content.
  • Website & SEO Support: Update website content in coordination with senior marketing staff and support SEO initiatives using approved tools and best practices.
  • Marketing Assets & Design Support: Maintain, refresh, and provide design/formatting support for internal marketing materials, presentations, and collateral.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Campaign Support: Work with HR, Business Development, Recruitment, and Delivery teams to gather content and support the planning and execution of marketing initiatives.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Strong skills in digital design tools, especially Canva Pro.
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing concepts (e.g., SEO, social media best practices, content lifecycle).
  • Ability to create and edit visual content for social media and marketing campaigns.
  • Comfortable using digital collaboration platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams) and content management systems (Wordpress).

Soft Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Comfortable working independently while seeking input when needed.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams.
  • Eagerness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced, professional environment.

Education & Experince:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience, including internships or co-op roles in a marketing or communications function.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., social media schedulers, CMS, basic analytics tools).
  • Experience working on content development or internal communications projects is preferred.
  • Exposure to professional services or B2B environments is a plus but not required.
