The Marketing Coordinator position is responsible for coordinating the organization’s various marketing activities, including content creation, social media management, public relations campaigns and media relations. The Marketing Coordinator will report to the Director of Marketing and Creative Services and collaborate closely with the marketing team, event/employee experience team and other departments to support the organization’s overall marketing and branding efforts.

 

Qualifications

The fundamental responsibilities of Lighthouse’s Marketing Coordinator include:

 

  1. Media Relations Management:
  • Build and maintain relationships with media contacts, journalists, and influencers.
  • Coordinate the creation and distribution of press releases, media kits, and other PR materials.
  • Monitor media coverage and manage the company’s response to press inquiries.
  • Organize and support media events, interviews, and press conferences.

 

  1. Internal Communication:
  • Coordinate the various departments to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with overall company goals.
  • Manage Lighthouse’s intranet and electronic bulletin boards to facilitate the flow of information across teams and leadership.
  • Develop and distribute marketing and engagement information through internal newsletters, emails and other communications to keep employees informed about Lighthouses updates, initiatives and events.

 

  1. Merchandise Management:
  • Oversee the production, and inventory of branded merchandise, ensuring alignment with the Lighthouse’s brand standards.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to order, track, and receive merchandise, maintaining an organized inventory system.
  • Coordinate distribution of merchandise for events, promotions, and employee recognition programs, while monitoring stock levels and reordering as necessary to meet demand.

 

  1. Content Creation & Management:
  • Develop, edit, and publish content for various marketing channels, including social media, email newsletters, Lighthouse’s website and intranet.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts, marketing and employee engagement/event teams to ensure content is clinically accurate and aligns with brand guidelines, marketing goals.

 

  1. Social Media Management:
  • Plan, schedule, and execute social media campaigns across various platforms (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram).
  • Monitor social media channels for engagement, responding to comments and messages in a timely manner.
  • Analyze social media metrics to optimize content and increase audience engagement.

 

  1. Campaign Execution & Analysis:
  • Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns, including email, and SEO initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

 

  1. Administrative Support:
  • Manage the marketing calendar, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Maintain marketing databases and track inventory of marketing materials.
  • Assist with budget tracking and invoice processing.


EDUCATION:

Required: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least three years of proven experience as a Marketing Coordinator, Media Coordinator, Public Relations Coordinator.

  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing, and content management systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexibility to work on weekends or outside regular business hours as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Medium Work: Lifting or exerting 20 to 50 pounds of weight/force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of weight/force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of weight/force constantly to move objects.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, reach and grab with arms and hands, manual dexterity.
  • Must be able to travel throughout Lighthouse’s service area. 
  • When a Lighthouse vehicle is not available, use of personal vehicle is required.
  • Must be able to work regular office hours Monday-Friday.
