Position Summary
This role prioritizes customer insight, strategic thinking, and relevance over volume-based content production. AI and modern tools are leveraged to scale execution—human focus is placed on understanding what matters most to customers.

The Marketing Content Specialist acts as a strategic consultant within the business, responsible for deeply understanding customer needs, buyer behavior, and market demand to guide relevant, high-impact content and marketing focus. Rather than serving as a transactional writer, this role partners with marketing, sales, and leadership to uncover what matters most to customers and prospects—and translates those insights into clear content direction, messaging priorities, and campaign alignment.

This role owns content strategy research, insight synthesis, and optimization across channels, leveraging AI and modern tools to scale execution efficiently. The Content Specialist ensures content is relevant, discoverable, and aligned with SEO and AEO best practices while continuously refining strategy based on audience engagement, performance data, and evolving customer expectations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Customer Insight & Content Strategy: Serve as a marketing consultant to the business by developing a deep understanding of customer challenges, motivations, and buying behavior. Own the research, development, and evolution of content strategies that align business objectives with customer needs. Translate insights from customer conversations, sales input, market trends, and performance data into actionable content direction and marketing focus.

  • Content Direction, Enablement and Optimization: Guide the creation, evolution, and optimization of content across digital channels including website pages, blogs, landing pages and social platforms. Ensure all content is clear, relevant, on-brand and optimized for SEO, AEO, and discoverability. Regularly audit and refine content to ensure it reflects current customer priorities, services, and messaging.

  • SEO, AEO & Keyword Strategy: Conduct keyword and search intent research to guide content creation and optimization. Continuously refine content to improve discoverability, rankings, and relevance as search behavior and AI-driven discovery evolve.

  • Social Media Content Creation: Craft content across social media channels to increase brand reach and engagement. Monitor and report on platform performance and adjust based on analytics insights.

  • Performance Tracking and Analysis: Monitor and analyze content performance using analytics tools, measuring metrics such as traffic, engagement, and conversions. Use insights to recommend optimizations, test improvements, and continuously enhance content effectiveness and alignment with business goals.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, product, and leadership teams to ensure content and messaging reflect real customer needs and support broader initiatives. Translate complex technical services and solutions into clear, customer-centric value stories that improve understanding and support revenue growth.

  • Marketing Trends: Stay current on industry trends, customer expectations, competitive positioning, and evolving content and AI technologies. Proactively recommend enhancements to content strategy, messaging focus, and go-to-market alignment based on emerging insights.

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related discipline

  • 3 Years of full-time writing experience in a B2B technical environment showing strong communication, editing, and project management skills, guiding execution rather than solely producing content

  • Proven knowledge of SEO, AEO, and digital marketing best practices

  • Demonstrated ability of consulting technical business leaders to identify value drivers and refine a message that resonates with non-technical buyers
