Position: Marketing Communications Specialist
Location: Remote (Must live in U.S., Eastern or Central Time Zone)
Date: October 2024

Position Overview

We’re looking for a confident Marketing Communications Specialist to join our fast-paced marketing team. Reporting to the Sr. Marketing Communications Manager, this position will play a pivotal role in developing and driving omnichannel marketing initiatives for Trojan Battery. You will collaborate with external agencies and cross-functional teams to create impactful marketing programs that increase Trojan Battery brand awareness and lead generation.

A successful candidate has excellent communication skills, works well in a team environment and independently, has a good eye for graphic design (guiding our designers), a modern approach to marketing promotions, and above-average copywriting skills. We’re looking for someone who’s proactive and thinks outside the box to develop high-value marketing campaigns – both B2C and B2B.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and track marketing programs such as advertising, email, social media, digital campaigns, content marketing, PR, and events
  • Develop and create marketing materials, such as sales and product collateral, ensuring brand guidelines are met
  • Write, proofread, and edit creative and technical content across different mediums (i.e. case stories, blog posts, press releases, social media posts, brochures)
  • Collaborate with the marketing team, product management, and sales to develop and monitor strategic marketing initiatives
  • Work closely with the digital marketing team to execute, optimize, and track digital marketing initiatives, including digital paid ad programs, SEO improvements, website updates, and email marketing
  • Analyze and report on the performance and efficiency of campaigns
  • Conduct market research and analyze trends to identify new marketing opportunities
  • Work with external agencies and vendors to execute marketing programs
  • Identify and coordinate influencer marketing opportunities
  • Assist in offsite photo and video shoots

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a marketing role
  • Skilled in writing and editing content with an attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of various marketing tools such as HubSpot, Google Analytics, CRM systems, content management systems, project management, and digital asset management (DAM) platforms
  • Understanding of today’s digital marketing strategies, tactics, and reporting
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to derive insights from data
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Manufacturing and channel marketing experience highly desirable
  • Ability to travel as necessary (up to 20%)
