The Marketing Communications Specialist at The Center for Disability Services is responsible for leading the integration and implementation of a broad range of communication and marketing activities related to the strategic direction and positioning of the organization. The candidate will promote the mission of the Center through strong working relationships with individuals, business leaders and the community.
 
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Content Development & Writing
  • Lead the creation of high-impact written materials, e-news, website content, social media posts, scripts and community publications.
  • Lead the strategic development and delivery of digital marketing campaigns and support the production of electronic media and videos to increase web traffic and enhance online presence.
Agency & Vendor Management
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Center and external marketing vendors and agencies, including website/SEO management to manage, supervise and coordinate, creation/implementation of digital marketing campaigns, visual media production and graphic design.
Advertising Management
  • Manage ad campaigns across various media channels to effectively reach multiple demographics around the region for agency marketing needs and work with vendor to continuously monitor, update and develop digital marketing campaigns consistently as recruitment marketing needs evolve and change.
Requirements: 
  • A minimum 3 years of experience in public relations, journalism, marketing, television production, online media, or a related field.
  • A Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or related field from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Dept. of Education or other internationally recognized accrediting institution;
  • Demonstrated ability to write creative, clear, and concise content for use across multiple media and marketing platforms, including web content, social media campaigns, and marketing collateral, and video.  
  • Ability to work within a multi-faceted organization with a fast-paced environment, often under tight deadlines, balancing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to work with and be comfortable around people living with Disabilities.
The successful candidate should have experience with crafting engaging, data-driven social media strategies and combining video, imagery, and strong writing skills to implement posts that enable The Center for Disability Services to further connect with and grow our audiences.
  • This role requires mandatory attendance at designated work-related events and programs to capture photos and create promotional content for social media and other communication and promotional channels, which may require working outside regular business hours as needed (i.e. working evenings, early mornings, and weekends) 
  • The successful candidate should have excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail, self-motivated, and eager to learn new skills to be able to meet the wide-ranging demands of this exciting opportunity. They should enjoy working as part of several teams on different projects at the same time.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of visual design and content tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress or similar CMS).
Basic understanding of email marketing platforms, analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), and social media management software.

Compensation Range:

$28.73 - $30.78

Skills Required
