General Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic, customer-centric communications plans for North America's poultry and swine business, ensuring continuous progress, alignment with business objectives, and measurable impact.
  • Own and drive marketing communication initiatives from conception to execution, ensuring stakeholder alignment and business success.
  • Design and implement integrated, multi-channel marketing communication strategies across digital, print, social media, events, and PR, to include event management. 
  • Drive the planning, execution, and continuous optimization of marketing communication campaigns, ensuring alignment with business goals and maximizing engagement, lead generation, and brand awareness.
  • Develop and maintain a clear MarCom roadmap, ensuring projects progress efficiently while adjusting for new business priorities and opportunities.
  • Develop compelling, audience-specific messaging that clearly communicates the value proposition of NOVUS products and solutions, ensuring consistency across all communication channels.
  • Write, proofread, and edit creative and technical content for various platforms.
  • Develop marketing materials, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and customer pain points.
  • Direct and manage external agency partners and vendors, ensuring timely execution, innovation, and effectiveness in campaign delivery.
  • Support and execute thought leadership initiatives, including white papers, blogs, webinars, and speaking engagements, to position NOVUS as an industry leader.
  • Ensure all marketing communications reinforce NOVUS’ brand positioning and market differentiation in the swine and poultry sectors.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and gaps in current marketing communications efforts and implement solutions to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Analyze industry trends and provide strategic recommendations to enhance marketing effectiveness and customer engagement.
  • Use marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics, Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) to track performance, optimize marketing strategies, and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Implement performance tracking methodologies to refine messaging and optimize campaign success.
  • Develop relationships with key media publications and editors in North America.
  • Serve as the primary marketing and communications contact for North American poultry and swine businesses, engaging proactively with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Continuously explore and propose innovative marketing communication tactics, leveraging emerging technologies, digital platforms, and industry trends.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to align MarCom initiatives with sales and business development goals, ensuring a seamless go-to-market approach.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Life Science Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field, OR comparable training with 4+ years of experience in marketing and/or marketing communications within the agriculture industry.
  • Strong awareness of North American poultry and swine industries, including economics and key drivers.
  • Proven ability to develop and drive strategic marketing campaigns, identify opportunities, and adjust marketing efforts based on insights.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and provide actionable analysis.
  • Experience with brand positioning, thought leadership initiatives, and storytelling to enhance market presence.
  • Strong leadership and ownership mindset with the ability to drive projects forward, ensure deadlines are met, and make proactive adjustments as needed.
  • Strong collaboration skills with global cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, multicultural organization.
  • Experience with multi-channel marketing strategy development and execution.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, CRM, and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
  • Customer-focused mindset, ensuring marketing strategies align with industry needs and challenges.
