About the job

As the Japan Marketing & Communications Manager, you will play a key role in bringing onsemi's brand, messaging, and customer engagement programs to life in one of our most strategic markets. Working closely with regional and global marketing teams, sales leaders, and business units, you will help plan and execute integrated marketing initiatives that strengthen brand awareness, generate demand, and enhance customer engagement across Japan.

Responsibilities

Marketing Planning & Execution

  • Develop and own Japan marketing plan aligned with business objectives and regional priorities.
  • Contribute market insights, customer feedback, and competitive observations to fabricate marketing campaigns and optimize to maximize effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with business units, sales teams, corporate marketing, and regional stakeholders to devise integrated marketing programs that fits into Japan market. 


Brand Building & Public Relations

  • Execute branding and communication initiatives that strengthen onsemi's visibility and reputation in Japan.
  • Plan and deliver media relations activities, including press releases, media events, executive interviews, and industry outreach.
  • Work with global communications and branding teams to ensure consistency in messaging, visual identity, and brand guidelines.
  • Build relationships with media, industry organizations, customers, and ecosystem partners to increase market awareness.


Demand Generation & Digital Marketing

  • Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels to generate customer engagement and business opportunities.
  • Manage digital marketing activities, including email campaigns, webinars, website content, and paid media programs.
  • Partner with sales and business unit teams to support product launches, solution campaigns, and lead-generation initiatives.
  • Monitor campaign performance and provide regular reporting and recommendations for improvement.


Events & Customer Engagement

  • Lead the planning and execution of trade shows, seminars, customer events, and industry conferences.
  • Coordinate event logistics, content development, promotional activities, and post-event follow-up.
  • Support customer and partner marketing programs that enhance engagement and strengthen business relationships.
  • Evaluate events and sponsorship opportunities and track results against defined objectives.

Marketing Operations & Vendor Management

  • Manage marketing budgets and track spending to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Coordinate with external agencies, PR firms, digital marketing vendors, and event suppliers to deliver marketing programs.
  • Measure and report key marketing metrics, including campaign performance, lead generation, event outcomes, and media coverage.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve execution efficiency and marketing effectiveness.
Qualifications

Requirements

Experience & Professional Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 6-10 years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, digital marketing, event marketing, or integrated marketing, preferably within a multinational or technology-driven organization. 
  • Experience planning and executing marketing programs across multiple channels, including events, digital campaigns, content marketing, social media, public relations, and customer engagement activities.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with marketing performance measurement, lead generation concepts, campaign analytics, and budget management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel, with a strong interest in leveraging AI and digital tools to improve productivity and marketing effectiveness.
  • Experience working with agencies, vendors, media, or external partners is an advantage.
  • Technology industry experience is preferred; semiconductor, electronics, or B2B technology marketing experience is a plus.
