C12 develops reliable & application-specific quantum computers, to solve complex computing tasks, currently out of reach of even the most powerful supercomputers. Building a quantum computer still needs innovators who are ready to tackle exciting challenges. At C12, we are convinced that a new material for the qubit will bring a technological breakthrough.

At C12, the fundamental building block of the quantum processor—a qubit—is constructed using ultra-pure carbon nanotubes suspended above a silicon chip with control electrodes and superconducting resonators. This high-purity material minimises errors, enhances performance, and reduces hardware overhead for fault-tolerant computing. Spin qubits coupled to a microwave resonator offer exciting possibilities for control, manipulation, and circuit architecture. The suspended isotopically pure 12C nanotube significantly improves stability by reducing sources of decoherence, such as charge noise, nuclear spin noise, and phonon relaxation. Leveraging well-established semiconductor techniques, carbon nanotubes hold great promise for scaling quantum computing, much like silicon in classical computing.

Founded in 2020, C12 is a fast-growing start-up, who recently raised EUR 18 million in 2024 to further its research in its own lab in the heart of Paris (Panthéon).

Your role at C12 Quantum Electronics:

At C12, Marketing & Communications spans science, business, and storytelling. We manage everything from press and social media to events, partnerships, and institutional visits, working closely with our co-founders, scientific team, and external partners to build C12's visibility in the quantum ecosystem and beyond.

We are looking for a Marketing & Communications Assistant to join as the second person on the team. You will work directly with our Marketing & Communications Manager and be the driving force behind C12's day-to-day communications.

    Key responsibilities:
  • Owning LinkedIn & X end -to end: content calendar, drafting, scheduling, and performance tracking
  • Creating on-brand content autonomously across text, visuals, and other formats, writing and publishing blog articles for SEO and repurposing across channel
  • Owning event logistics including: tracking, materials, suppliers, booth, merch, and follow-ups
  • Attending and representing C12 at events, as well as organising and supporting lab visits for press, journalists and PR partners
  • Creating branded decks, flyers, social posts, infographics and website visuals
  • Supporting announcements around product milestones, new hires, lab updates, and key company moments
  • Tracking and analysing marketing performance metrics and provide insights for improvement

About you:

  • You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field. A scientific background or genuine curiosity for tech is a bonus.
  • You are fluent in French and English, written and spoken
  • You have a first experience in marketing and communications. Experience in a start-up or fast-moving environment is a bonus
  • You have a track record of creating and managing social content, particularly on LinkedIn and with design tools like Canva, Figma or Adobe
  • You have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • You are proactive, creative, curious and enjoy introducing fresh ideas.

What we offer:

  • €45,000 - €50,000 per year
  • Stock options for every employee (BSPCE/ESOP)
  • Sponsored trip to conferences around the world
  • A highly dynamic international team
  • Swile meal vouchers
  • Mental health support with moka.care
  • Training budget/ Annual Learning & Development Allowance
  • Sabbatical leave (after 2 years in the company)
  • Vibrant office culture (two office spaces in the heart of Paris, team lunches, offsite events, Friday breakfasts..)

You should join us if...

You want to contribute to achieving landmark results in quantum computing, making a difference in the emerging quantum technologies
You want to work within a 80-people team with various backgrounds in nanofabrication, quantum electronics, and carbon nanotube science to create a revolutionary quantum computing processor
You want to thrive in an exceptional scientific environment with several industrial and academic partners
You share our values (excellence, scientific integrity, diversity, curiosity, and care) and want to help us define our product-focused culture and ambition to accelerate.

We still encourage even if you don’t meet all the requirements. Rest assured, we are committed to finding the right fit for our team and are open to adjusting compensations based on skills and experiences. Applications from women are especially welcomed!

What We Do

C12 is building reliable quantum computers. The company is a spin-off from ENS launched in January 2020 by twin brothers Matthieu and Pierre Desjardins to supercharge the development of the lab’s promising new quantum technology. Quantum computing has the potential to change our lives. But frequent errors limit the technology’s viability. We are tackling the fundamental issue: the nature of the hardware itself. We are tapping into the simplest material–carbon–to drive a technological breakthrough in the field. Unlike other quantum computers, we use carbon nanotubes as the fundamental building block of our processor. By combining the power of an ultra-pure material with an easy-to-manufacture semiconductor device, we are building a scalable platform for quantum computing. Our executive co-founders bring a unique combination of scientific excellence and business skills to the company. Our team is made up of the world’s most accomplished experts in quantum electronics and carbon nanotube science. Our scientific advisors are renowned scientists and pioneers in spin qubits: Dr. Takis Kontos, Dr. Matthieu Delbecq and Dr. Jérémie Viennot. In June 2021, C12 secured a $10 million seed round with funding from 360 Capital, Bpifrance (Digital Venture Fund), Airbus Ventures, BNP Paribas Développement, and Octave Klaba (OVHcloud), and additional grants from Bpifrance and the Ile-de-France Region. We are leading quantum’s next material breakthrough, and we are just getting started. Silicon enabled the emergence of classical computing – it’s time for carbon to do the same for quantum !
