About the Team/Role​:

As a WEX CX Automation CX Strategist, you are accountable for the effectiveness of interactions delivered by WEX marketing automation programs. Your work will impact customers at critical moments within the customer lifecycle. You will partner with Marketing Automation Engineering and cross-functional teams to deliver experiences that drive growth and high customer satisfaction.

​How you’ll make an impact:

  • Strategy: Proactively engage with CX Automation Engineering partners and SMEs across Marketing, Product, and the business to design automated experiences that align with business objectives and achieve target outcomes.
  • Project Management & Execution Planning: Translate strategy into actionable plans by defining scope, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables. Manage intake, prioritize work across competing initiatives, and ensure alignment with business goals and capacity. Maintain visibility into progress, proactively identify risks or blockers, and drive projects forward to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Subject Matter Leadership: Demonstrate expertise by staying at the leading edge of marketing, industry, and competitor trends. Multiply talent by sharing insights that shape strategy and educating stakeholders on how CX automation impacts the business and customers.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Automation Engineers, SMEs in Revenue and Product Marketing, designers, and data analysts to ensure seamless execution across channels and optimize automated customer experiences for conversion.
  • Content Creation: Oversee the creation of high-quality, behavior-based marketing automation and personalization content, including deeply personalized emails and web experiences. Ensure engagement is optimized for the moment and achieves target outcomes.
  • Personalization: Develop dynamic content strategies based on key moments of opportunity, leveraging data signals, audience attributes, and insights to deliver relevant personalized experiences.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze performance metrics and leverage insights to inform strategy, optimize journeys, and identify opportunities to increase conversion.
  • CRO: Drive continuous testing and optimization of content, messaging, and calls-to-action using A/B and multivariate testing to maximize performance.

​Experience you'll bring:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • Experience: Senior experience in marketing automation and personalization, with demonstrated success.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, HubSpot, Optimizely), CRM systems, personalization platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Database Marketing Skills: Experience building and segmenting audiences, and driving optimization through A/B testing and AI tools.
  • Judgment: Ability to operate with ambiguity, using sound business judgment to provide actionable recommendations across cross-functional teams.

​Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in B2B marketing.
  • Knowledge of lead scoring and lead management best practices.
  • Experience with experimentation frameworks.
  • Customer lifecycle and CRM marketing strategy.
  • Agency or client-facing experience.
  • Graphic design and copywriting expertise.
