  • For candidates who are already based in Middle East, the position is location-based within the Middle East, with no relocation. The final candidates will remain in their current location in ME.

  • For candidates who are based outside Middle East, relocation is required for one of the ME countries.

Job Mission

The Marketing & Omnichannel Enabler - Ophthalmology for the Middle East is responsible for shaping and executing customer- and patient-centric commercial strategies, including marketing, brand, and customer engagement, for the assigned disease area across the Middle East. 

This role connects brand ambition with customer experience - integrating market insights, omnichannel engagement, and product strategies to deliver impactful, insights-driven, and patient-centered outcomes. 

This role operates 80% for the ME countries, working closely with Disease Area Squads, ME affiliate POCs, Disease Commercialization Lead(DCL), Patient Journey Partners (PJPs), Medical, Access, and Informatics to co-create meaningful experiences and drive commercial success.

The remaining 20% will stay within the local Affiliate or Chapter to maintain flexibility and relevance at the local level.


Your Impact

Marketing Strategy, business planning, and launch readiness

  • Partner closely with DCL and respective Disease Area Squad to implement global brand and portfolio strategies(DACS & CORP), ensuring alignment with business outcomes and patient needs

  • Conduct market analysis and competitive landscaping to inform brand positioning and market opportunities 

  • Lead execution of global segmentation, targeting, and positioning strategies, crafting compelling value propositions for healthcare solutions 

  • Work closely with DCL and ME affiliates to support launch readiness planning, tactical execution, and performance tracking for BC/NMD/Ophtha and relevant initiatives

  • Lead the localization and execution of global communication strategies for campaigns, events, and content assets, ensuring scientific accuracy and market relevance

  • Shape and contribute to across-affiliate DA financial ambition, ensuring optimal investment planning in collaboration with affiliate teams, finance & DCL

Customer Experience & Omnichannel Engagement

  • Design and execute disease area specific promotional plans and integrated customer experiences by leveraging customer segmentation, persona development, and personalized targeting in collaboration with PJPs and customer facing teams

  • Identification and management of compelling and modular content needs (promotional & non promotional) that is tailored for different audiences, channels, and formats in close collaboration with internal and external partners, adhering to brand guidelines, compliance/regulatory requirements, and MLR processes

  • Ensure omnichannel initiatives are designed and driven by identified and relevant cross-country needs, delivering seamless integration between scientific engagement and marketing campaigns 

  • Identify and work regularly with appropriate internal and external resources (e.g., contracting with agencies and vendors)

Insights-Driven Planning

  • In close collaboration with local points of contact, affiliate finance partners, and ME analytics/insights enablers, identify market opportunities and gaps by synthesizing insights from multiple functions and sources, including Medical, Access, and Informatics, as well as market research, competitive intelligence, and customer analytics

  • Based on core & common KPI framework, partner closely with ME and local analytics/insights enablers to integrate brand performance metrics, success signals, and feedback loops so that they inform and enhance portfolio strategy, access initiatives, and omnichannel optimization
     

Cross-Functional Collaboration, agile ways of working, and training

  • Closely collaborate with ME CX&I network, Medical, Access, Informatics, and PJPs to ensure integrated planning and coordinated execution

  • Work closely with DCL to identify cross-country pain points and relevant cross-country activities to ensure strong local rollout of regional commercial initiatives and events

  • Actively participate in squad ceremonies, contributing subject matter expertise in marketing and omnichannel engagement

  • Share best practices and learnings across the Middle East network

  • Work in alignment with agile principles — iterating quickly, adapting to change, and delivering incremental value

  • Design and execute internal training, onboarding for pre-launch, newcomers, and refreshers on new strategies and tools ensuring competitive readiness
     

Who You Are

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, marketing, business, or a related field

  • You bring a minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing, customer engagement, or commercial roles within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector

  • You have proven experience in omnichannel engagement, which is highly preferred

  • You have proven experience in Ophthalmology

  • You show a strong track record of success in brand planning, launch execution, and omnichannel engagement

  • You apply strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights

  • You demonstrate an experience in working within cross-functional, matrixed environments 

  • You have experience in working beyond affiliate level while leading or being part of  WPTs

  • You think strategically and creatively

  • You act as an omnichannel customer engagement expert

  • You operate with a strong customer- and patient-centric mindset

  • You build strong collaborative relationships and partnerships

  • You leverage data and digital marketing fluency to drive impact

  • You adapt quickly and embrace a growth mindset
