Job Summary:

The Division of Extension and Engagement is seeking a Marketing and Communications Project Coordinator for its Communications and Marketing Unit. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position.

The mission of the OSU Division of Extension and Engagement (division) is to work with communities throughout Oregon to support lifelong learning and co-create innovative solutions to address local challenges. Together, we envision a future where Oregon’s people, communities and ecosystems prosper.

This Marketing and Communications Project Coordinator serves as a central point of coordination for communications and marketing requests within OSU Extension and Engagement. This position manages project intake, timelines and workflows that help teams develop and deliver high-quality, accessible, and brand-aligned communications and marketing.

Working closely with unit leadership, colleagues, and stakeholders across the division, this coordinator provides responsive customer service, project guidance, and communication support, helping align priorities, coordinate resources, and move projects efficiently from start to finish. The position also supports internal communications efforts and public-facing content for OSU’s Extension and Engagement work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project intake, workflows, timelines, and stakeholder communication to help ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.

  • Coordinate assigned communications and marketing projects, campaigns, reports, and internal communications initiatives, partnering with unit leadership and project stakeholders to support successful execution.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for communications and marketing requests, providing responsive customer service, project guidance, branding consultation, and resource referrals.

  • Maintain and update digital content across websites, intranet platforms, and content management systems, including copyediting, proofing, accessibility review, and backup support for web publishing and digital asset management.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure content aligns with accessibility requirements and university brand and style standards and reflects inclusive communication practices.

  • Support division internal communications, including employee meetings, newsletters, intranet content, and related communication initiatives.

  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and user experience

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or field related to the assignments of this position.

  • Professional project management experience.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences.

  • Strong organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while building effective professional relationships.

  • Experience editing and managing content on digital platforms, including familiarity with accessibility, branding, and editorial standards.

  • Proficiency with office, collaboration, and digital communication software and an ability to adapt to changes in an evolving technology environment.

  • A commitment to creating safe, respectful, inclusive, and welcoming learning and work environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional experience, training, or certification in project management.

  • Experience with Asana or a similar project management platform.

  • Experience editing and reviewing content for editorial, brand, and design standards.

  • Experience creating accessible digital content.

  • Experience with digital asset management systems.

  • Experience publishing web content in Drupal 10 or later.

  • Experience working in or with a marketing or communications team.

  • Bilingual and/or biliterate, particularly in Spanish and English.

Working Conditions/Schedule:The primary work location for this position is the OSU Division and Extension and Engagement’s Communications and Marketing unit on the OSU’s campus in Corvallis, Oregon. However, flexible work may be established via an OSU Flexible Work Arrangement Agreement, with pre-determined periodic reviews of ongoing work for continuation of the agreement. This position is expected to work onsite in Corvallis at least two days per week with in-person attendance at other meetings and events as needed.
Infrequent out-of-state travel may be necessary for professional development and service.
Work is performed in an office environment. Typical schedule is 8-5pm.Salary Range:$57,473 - $74,533Anticipated Start Date:2026-09-21Anticipated End Date:
