We are seeking a Marketing & Communications Intern to join our team at Ardmore Roderick. As a Marketing & Communications Intern, you join a team of infrastructure solutions experts working to solve our client’s ever evolving project needs. This opportunity will be located in our Chicago, IL office and could be hybrid, depending on the specific client, project, and team needs.

Hourly Pay: $25, Ardmore Roderick is providing the compensation range that the company believes it might pay and/or offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.

We are seeking a Marketing & Communications Intern to join our team at Ardmore Roderick. As a Marketing & Communications Intern, you join a team of infrastructure solutions experts working to solve our client’s ever evolving project needs. This opportunity will be located in our Chicago, IL office and could be hybrid, depending on the specific client, project, and team needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the marketing team with day-to-day marketing activities across social media, website, intranet, and internal communications
- Assist in developing strategies to grow followership and engagement on Ardmore Roderick’s social channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram)
- Draft, schedule, and publish social media posts using brand voice and guidelines
- Research industry trends and identify content ideas and best practices
- Assist in organizing and managing the photo and digital asset library
- Support creation of simple graphics or visual assets (templates, social graphics) as appropriate
- Assist with internal and external newsletter development and execution
- Assist with proofreading and quality checks for accuracy, grammar, and brand consistency
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university program
- Major in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Familiar with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook)
- Have a team player mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal forms
- Have good to great organizational skills
- Comfortable working independently with guidance, and reliable in meeting deadlines
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools
- Interest in analytics, reporting, or digital strategy
- Previous internship, campus organization involvement, or project work
- Part-Time PTO
