What is this role about?
The Marketing Analyst for the Engagement & Retention team at Bondora plays a key role in driving insights and optimizing strategies to maximize customer retention, engagement, and conversion rates. Reporting to the Head of Engagement & Retention, this role involves analyzing customer behavior, tracking lifecycle campaign performance, and supporting the team in improving top funnel completion rates and returning applications. Your expertise in data analysis and visualization will directly influence data-driven decision-making and improve marketing effectiveness.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Analyze the performance of lifecycle and retention campaigns, providing actionable insights to enhance customer engagement and retention strategies.
- Track key KPIs, such as returning applications, lifecycle engagement rates, and top funnel completion rates, and recommend strategies to improve performance.
- Use SQL, Python, Tableau and Excel to query and manipulate data, exploring customer behavior across different segments to uncover patterns and opportunities.
- Collaborate with the analytics team to maintain and improve data pipelines supporting lifecycle and retention campaigns, leveraging dbt, SQL and Python.
- Design, analyze, and interpret A/B tests to evaluate the impact of campaigns and new initiatives, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
- Create clear, compelling visualizations in Tableau to present campaign performance and insights to stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain dashboards that monitor the effectiveness of engagement and retention efforts in real-time.
- Work closely with the Engagement & Retention team to align insights with strategic objectives, ensuring data informs decisions on lifecycle journeys and customer communications.
- Support cross-functional initiatives by sharing insights with product, marketing, and data teams to improve customer experiences.
- Contribute to the development of analytical best practices for lifecycle marketing, improving how data is leveraged for engagement.
What would ensure success in this role?
- Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing analytics, with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights for retention and engagement strategies.
- Proficiency in Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating large datasets.
- Knowledge of Python and dbt is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical skills to explore customer data, extract meaningful insights, and
identify opportunities for improvement. - Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate
effectively across teams and present insights to stakeholders.
