The BBH Markets Group within Service Delivery provides global support to our FX Trading and Custody operations of the Firm. The Markets and Custody division maintains staff coverage in regional locations in Boston, New Jersey, Krakow, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
The Team Leader is responsible for the management of the Market Services team in Hong Kong, bringing alignment between regional and global business goals and objectives. The individual focuses on products implementation, people management, client relations and counterpart liaison. S/he oversees all day-to-day operations to ensure effective execution and business deployment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Productivity/ Operations Management
Ensure smooth and effective operation of the department including timely and accurate product delivery, proper escalation and prompt resolution of high exposure items, maintenance of quality client service, adherence to business standards and control measures.
Control/ Business Planning
Develop, maintain and achieve an integrated Business Plan for the department that align with the business goals and objectives of Market Services in the context of organizational structure, servicing & systems priorities, budget and management reporting etc.
People Management
Develop and cultivate staff members through appropriate training and performance management.
Process Improvement
Develop and maintain a results-oriented business culture, pursuance of continuous process improvement including: developing and achieving leap goals, challenging all processes, procedures and practices, focusing on solutions (not “good reasons”), and keeping abreast of new technologies and applications and their implications to the department.
Client Service Management
Assist business lines with client visits, presentations, walkthroughs and other sales and client retention activities. Build and foster effective, collaborative and productive relationships with peers across business lines.
REQUIREMENTS:
- a BA/BS degree
- Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience and 8 plus years supervisory experience is a must
- Experience in supporting one or more of the products: FX, Custody, Mutual Funds or Securities Lending
- Results orientation and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in business analysis and process improvement.
- Ability to anticipate potential problems and respond effectively.
- Ability to motivate, develop and lead staff in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to coordinate cross-office initiatives.
