Join Risk Reporting & Middle Office (RRMO), a group within Corporate Risk which is responsible for reporting and analysis to internal Risk Management and to Regulators; monitoring controls and the quality of risk data, and is accountable for the management and execution of key reporting projects. The group produce daily, weekly & monthly risk/ financial overview reports which are used by various key stakeholder, external parties such as Regulators as well as the Firm's most senior management to monitor risk profiles. The group also has project management responsibilities for major projects within and outside the group.
As a Market Risk Reporting - Analyst in the Risk Reporting & Middle Office team, you will be responsible for providing key reporting at Firmwide and Legal Entity level to support the requirements of stakeholders and regulators, used to assess and monitor the Firm's capital requirements. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues.
Job responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver accurate and timely market risk reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Take ownership of and maintain key reporting data queries
- Hold a strong control mindset and proactively identify and resolve issues
- Identify data quality issues and be able to liaise with manager and appropriate stakeholders to resolve them
- Execute changes, under the direction of manager, for reporting where needed (Internal as well as Regulatory asks)
- Challenge Status Quo and look for efficient and innovative ways to manage BAU
- Coordinate with various stakeholders as part of BAU
- Liaise with Market Risk technology and other teams on planned and adhoc projects
- Update procedure documentation under direction of the manager
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Requires a self-motivated, results driven and detail oriented individual
- Strong analytical skills and control mindset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), in particular Excel
- A keen interest in learning new technologies and using them to create efficiency and accuracy
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Prior experience in the financial industry in Risk, Finance, Compliance, and Controls areas will be an advantage
- Experience with reporting tools such as Alteryx and/or Tableau
- Familiarity with Python code
