Changing the field of digital healthcare, making it simple and accessible to everyone
The Role
Build and lead the company’s market research and competitive intelligence function. Track competitors, pricing, customer journeys, financial performance, market movements, and social sentiment across European healthcare markets. Conduct ethical OSINT research, evaluate competitor initiatives, manage research requests through Jira, and deliver actionable briefs and recommendations to leadership, marketing, product, category, and business development teams.

Description

Almost every role in this company points inward. Analytics looks at our dashboards, Product at our funnel, Marketing at our campaigns, Finance at our numbers. That is exactly what those roles are for.

This is the one seat whose center of gravity points outward — and then feeds what it finds back into our internal processes.

You will know our competitors better than anyone else in the building. Not their price list — their whole picture. What their funnel actually feels like, which emails they send and when, how their subscription is built, what they tried and quietly killed, which categories they are moving into, and where their money is going. Then you will turn that into a recommendation someone can act on.

Two things this job is not. It is not a reporting role — you form a view, attach a confidence level to it, and defend it. And it is not about copying competitors. Anyone can see that a competitor did something; the value is in knowing whether it actually worked before we spend a shekel following them.

One thing it is: entirely above board. This work is built on publicly available information and honest research, in line with professional competitive intelligence standards. The richest sources in this field are the legitimate ones.

At Helfy, we are building the future of modern healthcare across Europe. We own and operate DoktorABC, a leading telehealth platform providing fast, discreet, and reliable digital healthcare. Delivering over 300,000 treatments per month and scaling rapidly, we connect patients with trusted doctors and a network of dozens of partner pharmacies across Europe.

We are building a market research function from scratch, and looking for the person to build it.

Responsibilities
  • Own the competitor map. Maintain a live picture of every player that matters across our markets — positioning, pricing, categories, clinical model, fulfillment, and the moves that signal what is coming. Including the competitors we have not noticed yet.
  • Experience the market first-hand. This is not a desk-only job. You will work through competitor customer journeys yourself — the sign-up flow, the pricing pages, the emails and notifications that follow, the packaging and post-purchase experience — and document what you find. All of it within publicly available channels and the boundaries we set with our legal team.
  • Track the money. Quarterly and annual reports for public competitors, market intelligence platforms for private ones — traffic, revenue estimates, funding, acquisitions, and where the spend is moving.
  • Judge whether it worked. When a competitor launches something, find the evidence of whether it succeeded before recommending we follow. Learning from other people's experiments, including their failures, is the whole point.
  • Lead our social listening. Take ownership of the platform and turn patient sentiment, category demand signals and competitor chatter into a standing input for marketing, product and category decisions.
  • Run the request board. Teams across the company raise research requests on a shared Jira board — CRM wants a breakdown of a competitor's email flows, the Studio wants to know which ads are running, a category manager wants their subscription model taken apart. You scope each one, agree a deadline, and work to a roadmap prioritized with Business Development.
  • Brief the business. A regular news and industry brief, monthly deep dives, quarterly financial reviews, and fast answers when leadership needs one. Your work reaches the management team.
  • Sit in the room. When we open a new category or a new market, you are in the kickoff and the build meetings that follow — with the evidence, while the decisions are actually being made.
Requirements

Must-Have Requirements

  • A business head, not only an analytical one. This is the requirement we care about most. Plenty of people can produce a clean analysis; far fewer can say what it means commercially, why a competitor is doing what they are doing, and what we should do about it. We need both in the same person.
  • 2–5 years in market research, competitive intelligence, strategy or consulting, that is equally welcome.
  • Research and analysis capability. You know how to build an assessment from incomplete information: define what you need to know, go find it, weigh your sources, and commit to a conclusion.
  • Resourcefulness. Half of this job is finding information nobody hands you — across five markets, in several languages, often about private companies that publish very little. You are patient with dead ends and creative about where an answer might be hiding.
  • Ethical judgment. Everything here is built on publicly available sources and honest research. You will know where the line sits between rigorous competitive research and misrepresentation, and you will raise it when a question gets close to that line rather than quietly deciding on your own.
  • The ability to land on a bottom line. Comfortable with spreadsheets, financial statements and analytics platforms — and able to compress weeks of digging into three sentences a decision-maker can act on, without the story around it.
  • Hebrew and English. You will write research in English and present it to leadership in Hebrew. Both at a level that holds a room.
  • Focus. You will be one person serving several teams, with a queue that is never empty. Knowing what to say no to, and shipping to deadlines, is part of the job.
