Bank of Marin, voted by our employees as one of the “Best Places to Work” in the North Bay Business Journal, is seeking an experienced Market Manager to join our Business Development team in our Sacramento Market.

The Market Manager is responsible for the retention and expansion of existing business relationships and the development of new business within designated market 

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding budget targets for a market in deposit growth, and attracting new business relationships to the Bank through a systematic calling program to larger business clients, prospects, and Centers of Influence.
  • Ability to identify business and high net worth individual prospects, create a pre-call plan, and establish rapport with decision makers, providing value added input, gaining their trust, and eventually their business. 
  • Is knowledgeable of all BOM deposit and lending products, including identifying the features of each Product, and how to match customers and prospects with the product(s) that are appropriate to their needs. 
  • Partner with Branch Managers, Commercial Banking Officers, Treasury Management, Wealth Management, Community Relations, and others to maximize customer/prospect relationships. 
  • Acts as the primary contact point for customer/prospect when key product need is deposit, and is responsible for coordinating bank services via product specialists. 
  • Take a leadership role in community organizations and non-profits to promote goodwill and generate new business. 
  • Other duties may be assigned. 

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or combination of experience. Minimum 7-10 years of related banking experience. Emphasis in relationship banking preferred.

The hiring pay range for this position is $84,902.00 - $158,711.00. In addition to the pay range listed, all bank positions are eligible for incentive compensation, which varies based on role. The pay rate for a successful applicant depends on a variety of factors including but not limited to geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
