Become a key member of our team as a Market Leadership Advisor. This opportunity is a Chief of Staff role that will work with our Medicaid Operations Leadership. In this impactful position, you will support strategies across the development, operations, and performance of our health plans. The Market Leadership Advisor role involves tackling a wide range of challenges, varying in scope and complexity, from moderate to significant. We are looking for a dedicated professional ready to make a difference in the healthcare landscape.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and manage special projects as assigned by the SVP, Medicaid Operations, establishing long-range goals, objectives, and plans.
  • Monitor financial and operational performance.
  • Represent the health plan externally and to governmental/external agencies.
  • Assist the Medicaid senior leadership team with decision-making and strategic planning, providing guidance and leadership to team leaders.
  • Advise executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance.
  • Coordinate activities of Senior Managers and their respective functions.
  • Exercise independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks and works under minimal supervision.
  • Apply critical analysis of various factors to assess situations and determine the most effective course of action.
  • Require experience in managing communications to all levels of staff, including front line staff to executive level.
  • Coordinate and streamline communications between different departments; creates content and presentation materials for executive audiences.
  • Plan and coordinate leadership events and forums.
  • Transform complex data and concepts into accessible, understandable, and actionable insights for leadership decision-making.
  • Represent Medicaid Senior Leadership in meetings and discussions when necessary.
  • Coordinate with HR to ensure effective staff recruitment, engagement and development.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration and/or related field
  • 5 or more years of professional experience working within managed care, Medicaid experience is preferred
  • 2 or more year of experience leading enterprise level projects or programs across a complex matrixed organization
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution
  • Knowledge of fiscal planning, budgeting and reporting.
  • Experience taking complex data and making it more accessible, understandable and usable for leaders to derive insights.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in business administration or healthcare administration
  • Proven experience as a Chief of Staff or similar executive role
  • Project Management experience

Additional Information

  • Workstyle: Hybrid Home - This is a hybrid home position where employees primarily work from their home office, occasionally using company office space for collaboration and face-to-face needs.
  • Typical Work Days/Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm EST.
  • Travel: 10-20%

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$126,300 - $173,700 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
