Heartland has an immediate opening for a Market Leader - Cincinnati Market, located in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this highly visible role, the Market Leader supports leaders, operations, and community relations efforts for the Cincinnati territory. The position is responsible for the strategic leadership and collaboration of commercial, treasury management, mortgage, and retail divisions to optimize profitability and achieve organizational goals. The Market Leader will also lead the culture, "where banking feels good" and family team focus for the associates in the territory.
A typical day might include the following:
- Develop, originate, process and service all personal, professional, agricultural, and commercial customers of Heartland Bank, Cincinnati Region
- Develop and maintain a profitable loan portfolio at minimum and prudent risk level in conformance and adherence to established and approved loan policy as set forth by the Board of Directors
- Ensure customer satisfaction by practicing good customer service techniques
- Provide leadership for the Bank as directed by the CEO of Heartland Bank and Board of Directors
- Participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the bank's overall business plan
- Assures effective bank wide communication
- Participates in a personal and business development campaign in the area to establish, solidify and maintain correspondent bank, business, and personal relationships
- Maintains the highest standards of ethical behavior and personal example
- Adherence to compliance with laws concerning financial institutions
- Interview, collect and analyze financial and related data of loan applicants to determine general creditworthiness of the prospective loan request and to mitigate organizational risk
- Screen credit applications and make credit decisions
- Assist as necessary in the credit approval process
- Establish and negotiate the terms under which credit will be extended
- Coach staff personnel in preparing loan documents, correspondence, and in customer follow-up
- Collaborate with other lenders in managing credit lines and assisting in review and approval process
- Share in achieving departmental and Bank goals specifically as they relate to credit quality and profitability
- Complete compliance and product knowledge assignments in a timely manner

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred or equivalent combination education and experience.
- Minimum 10 years of Executive leadership experience.
- Extensive knowledge of commercial, consumer lending and treasury management procedures and regulations required.
- Knowledge of basic accounting concepts and business financial statements.
- Excellent demonstrated positive leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to attract, acquire, coaching and develop a team.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Proficiency of Microsoft Office Products.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
- Ability to work hours to meet customer or event schedules.
- Valid Driver's License
