About The Position
The Market Intelligence Analyst supports the supply chain function with the assessment and management of the costs of equipment and services procured by Ameren. The Analyst works within the Market Intelligence teams to update and understand cost models for major capital equipment, materials, and services utilized by all Ameren companies. The Analyst will support the Market Intelligence team in facilitating the use of cost modeling process by researching and maintaining accurate data as model inputs.
This hybrid role is located in St. Louis, Missouri.
Key responsibilities include:
- Works independently, with guidance as needed from the Market Intelligence Manager and Specialist, for analyses and tasks, utilizes skills in clean sheet cost modeling and data analysis to assist in the development of should cost models for projects and procurement team. For complex models and analyses, assist the Market Intelligence team in category, equipment, or service level data.
- Assists in the development of cost modeling and analysis by collaborating with sourcing teams on large construction projects, major capital equipment, high spend commodities and services sourcing events.
- Uses data analysis techniques and templates to model quantitative information from various market data sources.
- Research cost drivers such as production time, materials, and labor for Ameren goods and services.
- Assist market intelligence team to update and maintain existing cost and forecast models.
- Update prices, indexes, material costs, labor mark-ups and other important factors files using statistical analysis.
- Design and generate Supply Chain reports and analysis via visualizations, business report methods, and internal reporting systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required, preferably in an analytical discipline (e.g., Finance, Economics. Business, Engineering, etc.). One year of directly relevant work experience in cost estimating, purchasing, consulting, cost accounting, or finance preferred. Advance degree preferred. Previous Ameren experience preferred.
In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Quantitative financial or economic modeling experience Strong analytical and communication skills, detailed oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously using time management skills. Thorough understanding of Ameren's systems applications (i.e. Oracle) preferred. Possess excellent math skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on strong to advanced Excel skills.

Compensation Range:
$59,800.00 - $92,700.00At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
